I realize this is an older video, but I had to comment on how much I love that hybrid captive ring pen! The wood colour and resin colours complement each other PERFECTLY, bring out the best in each! I always love watching the process….. I would be paralyzed before the lathe with fear of destroying it, but you - much like Michaelangelo explained his process - can see the pen inside the blank. I am in awe. ❤️❤️🇨🇦

I accumulate the cut offs and use them as test pieces for other projects or incorporate them into other projects. Interesting idea casting as a bowl blank; I've thought about it but would take a good chunk of resin. -Jon
Almost all of them should fit perfectly! We drill out holes to fit the standard plastic tips and most of the metal tips are fashioned after those. For customers that find their metal tips too loose it’s usually easily fixed by wrapping a little bit of washi tape on the end before inserting it into the pen!
