Hey I just checked my shiny pokemon, I think the game will list pokemon caught between areas as being caught in the fieldlands, bc some of my shiny pokemon say a specific location and some just say the obsidian fieldlands etc.
Ive got every outbreak shiny except glaceon. I just need one more shiny eevee but my god is this guy a pain to hunt😂😂😂😂. I have both the Shiny charm and perfected dex for Eevee but still can't get it. I did like 3-4 mass outbreaks in a day
@@itsPoachie Thank you😊👍. Its actually a lot of fun to shiny hunt in this game. Since the shiny charm and outbreaks alone make the odds really high. And the best part is you dont need trading to complete the dex. Thats one of the things I liked the most. The eevees burmies and distortions are the only pain to hunt. Ive even got 12 shiny alphas till now. Once Im done with the Eeveelutions Im just gonna do some alpha hunting cause the burmies and distortions are just ridiculous😂😂
So much fun to shiny hunt in this game!! I came back to it after a long break playing Scarlet and Violet and I haven’t left it again soon, there’s just so much to it compared to SV! Haha I can relate to the burmy hunt, good luck with that - perfecting the Pokédex alone is a MASSIVE pain 😂
@@itsPoachie I actually perfected the dex but still not trying cause its a massive pain🥲. I actually got and completed Violet last month. It was pretty fun, and Im gonna try to shiny hunt in that as well.
It’s…….been……sooo loooong……….where ha…..haaav……you been………👻💀☠️ Edit : In case you didn’t know, any shiny that spawns from a space time distortion can’t respawn by saving, so you have to catch the moment you find it, even if you do save and reload the game, the distortion won’t respawn since it always appears in a random location, I learned that the hard way 🫠

It's nice to see I'm just another person who's left the legendries in the overworld. I know they just stand there but I can pretend that when I'm not around they're out living their lives rather than gathering dust in my PC, I've already caught most of them from previous games anyway. Let the S/V legendries be free range! XD
Haha you’re not alone - I wanted a couple for Pokemon Home until I realised you need to do a load of multiplayer tasks to unlock the rest… so the ones I did unlock are all just chilling here 🤣
I swear I remember seeing something when the game released about there being a codeline that ensured that even if a non-alpha was supposed to be bigger, alphas are hard coded to be bigger than all non-alpha. which sucks, bc hunts like this could have been so much fun otherwise! and even if it doesn't look it, you still win in my book~
wow what an absolute dissapointment! What would be cool is if a pokemon would become an alpha AFTER its size is determined and add a percentage increase to the size making EVEN BIGGER alpha pokemon. So that big Onix would become like 45 meters tall instead.
I'm guessing that the normal Pokémon with larger heights appearing shorter compared to an alpha is down to the coding you mentioned near the beginning. Like those are meant to be the biggest of the big, but it doesn't get affected by if there is a regular pokemon with a height larger than it; so even though your Onix/Steelix was larger than an alpha on paper, the coding of the game refused to show it <:0
If it makes you feel any better, the Rhyperior will be bigger in SV, I have a max size shiny Gyarados which I experimented with by comparing an alpha, and yeah my max size one from SV was quite a bit bigger
@@itsPoachieyeah, though the difference will probably be a very slight since it’s only a few inches, Gyarados was quite a bit bigger since it was over a 2ft difference
