I would love to see a video on how blind people use different apps on their travels. Which apps they use in different situations. From when they leave their house to go to the airport, to when they get to their destination and check into their lodging. To how they navigate around a foreign city. Etc. etc.
I am so happy to read that, Karen! You can start planning your next trip 😉 if you need anything you are always welcome to contact me visionlosstravel@gmail.com
I am in USA. I am not legally blind but born with low vision from Albinism. I have relatives in Paris and would like to visit next year. Booking my flight is a possibility next year. What's the advantage of Ingenito search?
Hey Sheryl, The advantages of searching in incognito is that google doesn't see what you are searching for. Because when they know what you are looking for the prices of those tickets start rising. It is such a weird thing, but it's true. So when you search make sure to do it in the incognito tab. So your prices stay low. Mainly around 3months before departure you should find the cheaper prices.
I really enjoyed listening to this webinar. You are a great speaker, and your points are very well presented. I'm blind since birth, and I've traveled a lot solo by plane, both domestically and internationally. I have no guide dog, but you gave me a good idea of what it's like to travel with one--something I was very curious about.. I agree with all you say about the importance of cane usage, and of taking advantage of all the assistance available, even if it is wheelchair assistance. While I have no anxiety problems, I'm sure the tips you gave will be very helpful for those who do deal with anxiety. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to what's coming.
Hi, thank you so much for these kind words. I'm excited to have you be a part of it! Definitely check out our fb page. As you are an avid traveler we can learn so much from you ❤️
That is a very good point. I would suggest trying this out with someone to guide you and not on your own. Or if you are a surfcoach, to get classes at Surfability on how to guide people with a visual impairment.
