I honestly wish to return to Nigeria today. However, the insecurities are the primary deterrent. Even though I can contribute much to the country with my wealth (in dollars) and create so many jobs, what can I do about kidnapping or armed robbery?
@Chuwalker
@Chuwalker День назад
There are millions of Nigerians living their lives who haven't experienced kidnapping or armed robbery. The rich and wealthy Nigerians are all living in Nigeria. The oil company workers are living in Nigeria, the bankers, the IT professionals, the business executives etc are all living in Nigeria. They are not dead, their children go to good schools and back. They go to social functions and back,. If you keep scaring yourself with all you read and hear in the news, you will never return home. ✌ Peace be unto you.

You have made the best decision ever. I was born along side with two siblings in the UK in the 60's and the best thing my parents or should I say most parents did was to take us back home. I came back to the UK in 1990 few years later had my son but have always had the intention of taking my son back just like my parents did. I was 5 years old when I was taken back and as soon as my son clocked 5 I took him back, he went to a British school and came out tops, he sat the IGCSE . I stayed all through primary and secondary before coming back for him to further today it's the best that has ever happened to both of us. A lot of people wonder how he turned out compared to most kids, he has our values, knows the culture, respectful, God-fearing etc. One thing I have noticed is that there is a lot of noise when people travel abroad, however the bitter truth is a lot of people are also moving back home. I do not see myself retiring here and have put in place the best that I could both here and back home once that is done, home is the best place to live believe it or not. My best 10 years ever has been those spent while I was out there.

98% of us living in abroad that say they will never go back to Nigeria, don't have investment back home: no house, no business. Who wants to live in white man's country where he or she is being discriminated against? Who wants to live in a country where he or she is looked at as second-class citizen? I watched a very horrific video few days ago where a black lady, in America was executed by the police officer she called upon for help. As people of colour our abode is supposed to be Africa.

Actually, the video is more about decision on settling down wherever you find your peace of mind. Very good and commendable content. Injustice, insecurity, oppression, fraud and racism or some sort of tribalism also exist in Africa. So, no matter where one settles on earth, there is always good and bad side, so its better to just leave good legacy behind.
@geesimon1372
@geesimon1372 23 дня назад
@@pa3j666 yes. It is true that one has to settle wherever he finds peace of mind but is it in a foreign land where you are cut-off from your family? Is it in a foreign land where you are treated as less human? We know we have problem of tribalism in Nigeria but you still have a choice to move to other places where you could be treated as a king. I'm not saying that living in diaspora is bad, but are you going to stay there perpetually imbibing discrimination and hate? Your spirit is tied to the country of your birth because your umbilical cord was buried there.

@@geesimon1372 I beg to differ! The RU-vid content is a lot on point. She encourage investment wherever you find your rest of mind and sanity, not reason you should not stay here or there. Afterall, everywhere on earth has good and bad side.

It may be easier and more comfortable for you to live in Nigeria now that you have gotten money, exposure and ideas to invest nah. If it was easier and more comfortable to live in Nigeria, I think you wouldn't have travel abroad in the first place. Although, I agree with you that There is more freedom here venture into somethings but without money, many things are difficult to venture into. Money matter most. Firstly there is a vitimin D deficiency in most people for obvious reasons. Next point I would like to make is the racism white peoplehave in sidethem the hatred in side them will never go away towards people of colour if people can hate u so bad why stay. They even teach there children to hate ours and in 2024 continue to touch our hair like we are animals. The system right now is locking up so many black men on false allegations of rape all white women have to do is cry rape and ur gone down on Remand and if convicted sorry for u 😢 u know double figures u gonna get because how dare a black man u should be taught a lesson in white man's eyes. There's so many reasons to leave there matrix the only reason keeping us is money
