I absolutely love Limp Bizkit, and im a 56 year old Jesus freak. We all need to express our emotions, and these guys do it with such powerful music. I crank that FuckingShit all over the place in my car. I just played "Rollin" For my 2 year old Granddaughter this morning, and she thought i lost my mind dancing all over the house ❤😂
One of the best songwriters☀️ ...What a grande fellow.🤩..He once said Irelands audiences🍀 were his fav and the best to play for....he stood up for Sinead🍀 O'Connor on stage ... even wrote a song about her and the ill treatment she endured for decades... now they are having the last laugh together as she was right about so many things she fought for, as was he ✅️...both way ahead of their time in standing up for the underprivileged and the wrongs of the world again and again...⭐️ In 1992, Kris Kristofferson comforted Sinéad O'Connor when she was booed off the stage at a Bob Dylan anniversary concert for tearing up popes picture which was aimed to bring awareness to the church and ill❌️ treatment of innocent children. Sinéad O'Connor, just 25 years old at the time, was introduced on stage by American singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson. He later wrote this for her saying... May we all have her courage. May we all tell the truth.🫶 Words to the song are: "I'm singing this song for my sister Sinead Concerning the god awful mess that she made When she told them her truth just as hard as she could Her message profoundly was misunderstood There's humans entrusted with guarding our gold And humans in charge of the saving of souls And humans responded all over the world Condemning that bald headed brave little girl And maybe she's crazy and maybe she ain't But so was Picasso and so were the saints And she's never been partial to shackles or chains She's too old for breaking and too young to tame It's askin' for trouble to stick out your neck In terms of a target a big silhouette But some candles flicker and some candles fade And some burn as true as my sister Sinead And maybe she's crazy and maybe she ain't But so was Picasso and so were the saints And she's never been partial to shackles or chains She's too old for breaking and too young to tame” You were both the best truth advocates we had💯 ...fly high and have fun 🎉playing whereever you are🎵ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gKDFvVg3qe4.htmlsi=ao60ZHB5I3UdFFWI

David Bowie and Roxy Music are mentioned, but Japan and David Sylvian are not mentioned as influences. I see and hear the influence Japan must’ve had on Duran Duran
I saw Bill introduce so many acts at so many shows; if his name was attached, you knew it was gonna be great... from Chuck Berry and Blue Oyster Cult to The Who, The Clash, Heart, Ozzy, whether at the Fillmore, Old Waldorf, Wolfgang's or one of the big arenas/stadiums, Bill Graham was everywhere and was truly the patron saint of rock 'n' roll in the San Francisco area for decades.
The overarching impression is how lost humans are in 2024. Absolutely nothing exists that is TRULY underground or alternative to thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, and actions that are spoonfed to us by the powers that control everything. We are the most unfree we have ever been in human history.
Amazing how nice and relaxed this interview started out, and then made awkward and artificial by the the restart the monitors insisted upon. So much for producers! Who were those people? The really messed this up...almost like they chocked off the space the artists needed....the story of our times.
Nick Rhodes is my favorite Duran Duran. Quiet, concentrated, wellspoken, simply, a georgious man. Duran Duran is my favorite band from my teenage years. Loved their music, style, and the fact that even though they are international stars, they never fell into that famous trap drugs or scandals.. Love from 🇽🇰.
Lillehammer is such an odd tv series both for a guy from the Sopranos to star in as well as Steven, a guy from an extremely popular rock and roll band to star in. It’s like the movie “Cowboys vs Aliens”. You’d hear that and laugh and say no way could that work. It’s stupid. It doesn’t go together. But he did it and it worked! I give him all the credit in the world. He’s a multi talented guy who has a far larger range both in music as movies than you’d think. He deserves all the success.
The Jewish museum in San Francisco did a really nice respect on Bill Graham. Oh 10 or 15 years ago very interesting. He did not have a easy life growing up had health problems when he was young he had rickets but quite an entrepreneur. Another story about Bill Graham when he passed away the Bank of America across the street from the carousel he had a safe deposit box and when they opened it up, they found $1 million in small bills and the rubber bands were so old they were rotten and broken. You never know when you’re gonna need $1 million.
Had David Ruffin been able to turn away from the drug man? We would have had at least another decade of music from this amazing group. Eddie Kendrick and David would have carried the group to even greater heights. What magnificent talent was collected in this group.
