Hi! I'm Dannielle, your first gen Latina amiga :) I make content about navigating life and relationships, managing money and building wealth.
When I'm not making RU-vid videos or recording on the Amigas Get Money podcast, you can find me curled up on the couch with a book (probably non-fiction - though I am trying to read more fiction!) or watching the latest Netflix reality show.
I love the tip of wearing something you can try on clothes over if there isn't a dressing room! I was at a pay by the pound thrift store without a dressing room and hoped it would fit. A couple of pieces didn't when I tried them on at home, and doing this would have been so helpful!
I'm sooo happy for you!!! I started following you last year because I could relate to working in IT, being without a job for a while, and learning about finances. I haven't had a job since August last year, and you won't believe it, but the day you posted about getting a job, I got one too!!! I'll be going to the office twice a week, so I created a mood board and I'm going thrifting this week! Keep sharing your journey and inspiring people, I love your content! ❤
One of your text comments is so true. A unique period, and it does impact deeper than people realise - your relationships, especially with a partner. Strong will survive, and come through the other side even stronger.
I remember my phone call I got when I got my current job! after months of being unemployed, finding my previous job which ended up being incredibly toxic, and constant applying, interviewing, and rejections I finally got the job and it is everything I wanted and more so far. So the joy in this video along with clips of your journey resonate so much!!! Congrats!!!! and this is a reminder that it is possible for everyone!!!
First time watching. You captured the journey well. Congratulations 🎉 on your new role. Can you do a what I learned about the job search process: applications, interviews, handling rejection, pro tips etc?
You're right, you have to feel 'your feelings' , because they are yours after all. This job market is really something else. Good times don't last forever and this shit show won't last forever either and we'll be back to better times.
Yay! I’m so excited for you! Congratulations on this new endeavor!!! Can’t wait to hear all about the new job. You didn’t give up girl. It was tough but you did it.
Congratulations!! I’ve been following your journey pre-layoff and I’m SO happy for you! Not just for the job but all the growth during this time. thanks for always keeping it real
Congrats on the offer :) The job search is brutal out there. When people suggest having 6 months' worth of expenses on-hand I feel that it isn't enough.
thank you!! yes this experience has definitely shifting my mindset on how much to have on hand for "emergency" or "long-term unemployment"... you truly never know how long it might last
Loved that you were persistent and did not give up. This unwelcome unemployment has provided you with many lessons that will set you up for a better future
congratulations!!! seeing clips of your life through this process really reassures me as i enter the job market 🩷 thank you for your honesty and vulnerability!
I’m sooooo happy for you!!! Congratulations!!!! I just recently found your channel and I loved it so much I binged watched your videos. You have been such an inspiration and I thank you for sharing the highs as well as the lows. You helped me more then you could ever know ❤️
