Why do you want to work here, and what are you looking for? The silly answer is, because food costs money and I need to eat :O :O shock and horror! These are honestly outdated and frankly... stupid questions. It disregards all context as to the why, whom, and what position it's relating to. My most frustrating question is "what salary are you expecting".... The answer is; the SALARY AS ADVERTISED IN REGARDS TO THE JOB APPLICATION I'VE APPLIED FOR. Advertising companies whom ask this are so oblivious to the fact that you can still find out through search functions, it's not hard. It feels like another one of those copy paste questions... Job searching these days in a nutshell is actually horrible, one thing though has never changed, people skills matter. Who you know is important, more so than your credentials.

OMG yes when they ask that salary question, I always say, "on the JD, you mentioned a range of X-X. Is this correct? That falls within my range" OR if it doesn't I'm straight up LOL but I agree 100%, the network component is still so very important. It will probably always will be.
