Casual golfer, never had a lesson, and hadn't played for like 6 years. Recently fell back in love with Golf and I can't wait to get a set of these. Really appreciate the RU-vid space for getting me back into the game. Wish I could afford to get out on the course more, and gonna have to save up for these but it looks like they're exactly the type of clubs I need. Will be looking to have my whole bag be Takomo, hopefully by then they come out with the putter!
AWESOME.................... great video made especially for me, it seems. I recently made the move from game improvement irons to the T-100 irons. Obviously with much weaker lofts and much less forgiving, I now have different gaps and the top end of my irons is around 185 - 190 ish. I have to manipulate an old 5 wood and I cranked up the loft on an old 3 wood just to see if i could manage the yardage any better. Hybrids = Hooks for me, I wanted so much to like any hybrid but the guy that is managing my talent development is on strike.
Tim thankyou for getting Claire Hogle back on utube. So good to see that wonderful swing again. Honestly I don't see Claire playing on GGGS because I know she doesn't like hard smack talk while she's competing. She's more like a great support player that encourages better play and friendship bonding while out there. So I believe that Sabrina's smack talk would not be a go to for her. She's looking perfect as always and super classy. No trash on this lady. Always love her attitude and style towards golf and life as I know from watching her. Nice one Tim. Also don't apologize for outburst of song because you've got an above average voice.
Great video. I have just ordered the t101 set. Is there any plans to replace the 4iron with the 7 wood in the future. Seems a waste of money having the 4 iron in the set
Bit of topic, but removing the 4iron from the 101 set and replace it with a 101type off gap wedge would be a good move in my opinion. And than there's room for the 7 wood for example
Wes is right. When you are playing the game, the goal is to score at all costs. Work on your chipping off the course, then when on the course, give yourself the best chance to score
I think that comes down to personal preference, I've always disliked hybrids from all lie's/surfaces. I've found my 7 wood has enough loft to make shots from thick rough easy, as well as knocking down darts from the fairway
Thanks for the test and video. One thing I would like to see Takomo do is have the option to not include the 4 iron in the set being purchased. Following the 24/38 rule, the 4 iron for lower swing speed customers is not necessarily a valid club for the setup, especially more senior golfers.
It's all about maximizing $ for their orders etc, probably easier for them to buy and sell full sets rather than them ordering less 4i heads than the rest of the clubs etc.
My man it’s like you know my search history and what I’m looking for. That is WILD. @golfsidekick told me to get a 7 wood I have 101t’s I’m sold take my money. I love Takomo.
I’ve played the 201s for almost a year now. They are so good! Just took 2nd place in my first ever match play tournament in my men’s association. The beveled leading edge was one of the first things I noticed right off the bat. The club glides through the turf easier and doesn’t dig. I agree that these are the most slept on model of the lineup. As the Busta Jack boys would say, “Go getcha some!”
