I'm a big fan of what you guys are doing, and am eagerly awaiting that router (please say this year) I'm curious why 1Gbps port instead of 2.5Gbps port? If isn't that going to become the bottleneck?
Instructions unclear. I installed the Docker but no hardware appeared at my place. Jokes aside. I just thought of something that i think would be interesting further along. A way to have it High-Availability in like Kubernetes.
Thank you! Please let us know if you have any questions. Alta Labs is new, but the team behind the brand are known experts in the networking space! Let us know if we can help get you started.
Any chance WiFi 7 devices out soon? I know there is no need for business but planning to replace my WiFi 5/6 devices very soon and I like many want the 2nd gen devices. Also wish there were distributers down here in Australia that carry the hardware before i can consider using it for customers. I like the product
Wifi 7 slated for late 2024, but our current AP6 Pro Qualcomm chipset has many of the benefits of WiFi 7! We do have an Australian distributor, Powertec! Please reach out to them or our support team on our website - we'd love to get you started on Alta Labs and can connect you through our channel if needed. Thank you!
@AltaLabs thanks for the updates! Already in the beta program for most things Alta. Will look into getting into the self hosted controller. Glad to hear the router will be out in mid of 2024! Reason being I would like a native way to do LTE/5G failover without having to have a separate management console.
@AltaLabs please don't feel pressured to do IP cameras. There are many good vendors (Axis, Mobotix, etc) for IP based Cameras. I love being able to cloud manage everything. I have started to turn up smb clients with Alta Labs equipment behind a Checkpoint Firewall. What's the eta for a firewall/controller and can we please get an unlocked LTE/5G failover solution?
Great that your are aware and that it’s something that you guys can relate to in terms of a feature that you want to implement soon after launch. I really hope that you can live up to the promise. Listening to you explanation is giving me good hopes for Alta Labs and hearing there customers.
Would Alta labs have its own patch cables? Would you guys make an in wall access point with Ethernet in it? Thank you so much and very excited for Alta labs!
