I love how the girls reference Street Fighter wondering why they couldn't put that game in instead of Karate Champ. Funny thing... the Street Fighter they know and love didn't come out until 1991. The original 1987 game was not very good. Also, the developers of Street Fighter II actually got inspiration from this movie!
I'd love to have the Gecko characters power if I had the universal donor blood type because I could donate blood every day for free If the power made my organs compatible with anyone I'd also sell my organs based on a person's income bracket. The wealthier you are the more I charge for my organs (standard price that an organ would go for) and I'd do it for free for people that are poor. Half the money I earned would go towards finding other people with powers like mine to help people in the same way. Achara had good instincts with the overturned boat situation. When I first saw Stormfront I didn't really like her character because she was kind of annoying. Later in the season I realized why I felt that way. I had forgotten that this episode was the debut of the "Popper" supe but I kept feeling like it was coming. Huey needs to learn to stop lying to Starlight. She's not a bad person that you need to have your guard up all the time. She actually wants to help and he's not helping to patch things up with her by lying. He could've just said "We had something dangerous happen today and I don't want to tell you yet until I'm sure it won't get you killed". Enjoyed the reaction 👍👍✌ out.
The actors for Erin and James both said they feel that the two would be together in the future some time in their twenties after dating other people for a bit 🫶🏻👍🏻
Saw this when it came out at the theater. One of the things I love the most about this movie is the realism and great acting by some young up and coming stars. The man who played Patrick Swayze's dad and gave a very good performance was Harry Dean Stanton, who played Brett on Alien. Very nice reaction from both of you.
I love this show. I don't use the term masterpiece lightly (as many do these days) and I must say that the fifth episode is a masterpiece, although the word that comes closest to it for me is art.
The drop at the start Ryan Gosling actually did (fun fact the reason he’s wearing sunglasses is because he was so scared of heights he used them to hid his fear)
can watch the Action docuseries on Peacock that follows 87North Productions through Violent Night and The Fall Guy. tons of great behind the scenes footage of how all the stunts came together and all about the performers.
This is a really fun entertaining movie and it's sad that it's not a bigger hit. It doesn't have a BS political agenda and has a likable star but I guess that's not enough these days.
Jaby don't ever mind that you care about the science of things. It's good for filmmaking to be accurate. I'm still furious that the latest of Jurassic World films had someone physically touching someone they were tazering and was unaffected. Science is part of what made the first film good, and now it's grandiose ideas put to the forefront instead. Nothing wrong with that, except they're failing to nail a lot of the little moments that matter.
