I mean technically all cooking is assembling things to make a meal XD My "cooking" is 90% just apply heat to item = edible so you're 1000x better than my "meals" any day <3
My peach loaf is currently in the oven a di cannot wait to sink my tooth in it. 🎉 🍑 But also, THANK YOU FOR NOT PUTTING CINNAMON IN THIS RECIPE!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I made the brownest butter darkest chocolate cookies. I didn't have the confidence to brown the butter as much as shown, but got to like 80%. Anyways, they turned out great! I'll probably use a little less coffee next time but a hint definitely lends that artisanal/bakery quality. Thank you!!
I rlly liked making things like ‘potions’ and mud pies, and i’ve always liked baking and creative hobbies. Going to start my degree in geography and environmental science soon so i haven’t started working yet, but that makes me wonder what my ideal job would be if it involved these things
Looks yummy, though might be wayyy over analyzing the situation. You are awesome, you cook and don’t feed energy into those ignorant comments… they got to you so much you even had to make a video going on about it. Rock it, forget those who don’t support or encourage you. Ignore them, they’re not worth it.
You could take that logic and apply it to all cooking, and you shouldn't listen to it. You could also say "Nobody makes food, they just apply heat and spices to it." It's reductive. PLEASE don't listen to reductive dummies.
I agree...we all give out hints but being an Indian my hints were always suppressed... I was good at art but my art supplies and art books were sold every year.... I was good at singing but instead of listening to me sing and appreciating it my parents always told me singing can never be a career it is a hobby and don't sing all the time... surprise surprise I never sang even a single song infront of them... I loved cooking too but my parents would scold me if I was cooking stuff instead of studying science(which I was never truly interested in) because it is believed if u are cooking food u can become nothing but a house wife....so here I am almost 20 yrs old... Gave up on all of my interests and hobbies and now I'm a personal robot to my parents who is studying to become a doctor which I never wanted to be.... I'm already done with my life because it is not something I wanted with my life but it is something my parents wanted me to be... But they love me guys in other ways... They provide for me and all.... But one thing I learnt till now is that my kids will become what they want to.... I'll be a true supportive parent when I grow up... Dear future kids, I may have given up on my hobbies but you will never have to... Mumma promises.❤
I love how I can see a thumbnail and just from the lighting and vibes of the plate my heart flutters a little and my brain whispers: "new justinesnacks video..."
This is my favorite kind of cookie content!! Thank you for not being overly snooty about your recipe research! Your galley kitchen is beautiful and relatable, so is the kitchen-aid knocking into the uppers. Classic! Your cookies are beautiful and inspiring! I’m a believer in sour cream, yum, gonna try it!!
Yes, it is a fair critique. No skill is required beyond a sense of taste, and most people who eat have taste buds to know what flavors they like. The question is, why would you care what a random troll thinks? Don't internalize random vitriol. It is a broken person crying out, looking to create misery because they are in pain. Pity them and move on, maybe show them sympathy if you are kind... But ultimately just do what you love. Cooking is an art form. There really are no rules except to have fun making what you like.
Some of the best meals ive had have been some form off "putting stuff on/in something else and leave it in heat for a looooong time and eat it on something else" so idk how anyone can see food like that as 'not cooking"
so when i was little i used to make my little barbie dolls dance and do acrobatics (i even made a mini aerial silk for them!) and whenever i got the barbies i had to make sure they were the ones with double joints so that they could do all the dance moves and surprise surprise im 14 now and a dancer!
Who cares what goes into the process if it tastes good? The process is whatever you have the spoons for when you cook every day. That's something people who like to cook know intimately
I'm disabled and most days I can't even handle assembling things. People really need to stop talking out of their asses. What you did is definitely cooking
