Late to this particular party, but you just know the warp core on the NX is sweating to maintain warp 4 while the J is chaffing at the bit to be held back to 4 just so the camera man can get the shot...

Either is admiral marcus or khan who's driving that ship.

Indoor get why the ships have to get bigger the newer the series come out. Do they have to outperform or „compensate“ the older series with size…..? 😂

Enterprise E has a tough, strong feel to it. Like it's solid and made for battle. Shame we didn't see it fighting the Dominion.

I know this is 7 years old now, but i use voice attack for helldivers 2, and it's a godsend. Im getting back into STO, and I've started setting up a profile. The biggest issue i see with this is that you would either need to make a profile for not only individual ships but individual builds for both ground and space.

It always bothered me that the kelvin enterprise was almost Galaxy class sized, when star fleet wasnt at the capacity to even produce a ship that large, even in the dominion wars losing a galaxy class was a huge deal. Every thing JJ got wrong he blames on the timeline changing it, sorta like how the force magically fixes plot holes in JJs star wars

Well they are getting so big they really should be operating like mobile space stations with smaller ships detaching from the mother ship to patrol areas or explore..

ah i sense a problem here. ncc-1701 is bundled with ncc-1701-a despite the very large differences, like the colour of the nacelles and deflector disk. the size is also very different. also i mean the prime reality version not the kelvin timeline one.

Thank you for your feedback. You do raise a valid point, which I considered and ultimately deemed a non-issue. The first ship to carry the registry NCC-1701 was a Constitution Class Heavy Cruiser, often referred to by fans as the “TOS Era Connie.” In Star Trek: The Motion Picture, this ship was presented with significant revisions to both its interior and exterior, except for the main (or saucer) and secondary hulls. The nacelles and nacelle pylons were completely new. These modifications align with what is considered an "evolution" of the ship class, typically denoted by a single alpha suffix, starting with the first letter of the alphabet and continuing in ascending order. Regarding the length of the new nacelles, there was a minor change in the official dimensions of the ship, which led me to consider including the NCC-1701-A. However, I realized that this length change was not widely recognized. Additionally, the 3D models I used were based on data provided by CBS to Star Trek Online, making them canon. I don’t recall the exact length difference, but it was no more than 10-20 meters. Star Trek IV revealed the NCC-1701-A as an exact replica of its predecessor, without any class evolution or officially noted change in length. I excluded the "A" from my video, which focused on comparing ship lengths. You could have pointed out the use of the NCC-1701-F as both an Odyssey and Yorktown Class vessel. I included a link to the Shipyard Quartermaster's memorandum explaining the overlap during the Iconian War. With time and resources scarce, the Yorktown Class brought significant tactical and engineering system upgrades to the Odyssey. These updates required minor changes to certain hull sections, making them nearly identical structurally. When the moderately damaged NCC-1701-F Odyssey and the severely damaged Yorktown arrived simultaneously for repair assessments, it was decided to integrate what could be salvaged from the Yorktown's systems into the F model. The hull repairs were adapted to accommodate these system upgrades. I encourage you to read the memorandum-it's quite fascinating. Thanks again for your comment! Just in case you don’t make it through that article and miss the spec comparison, I’ve saved it to my iCloud. Link below: share.icloud.com/photos/0d83LYVcOGpGkEqxfywJNA-ZA Yes, those were both NCC-1701-F because despite the differences, structurally they are the same ship. Life’s little quirks, hey?! Cya.

Hey Snipey47 , ,i gotta Cry FOUL , , the Enterprise E is NOT that large , , , mass wise its closer to the size of the Ambassador Class StarShips like ""NCC 1701- C"" , , I'm the most proud of the Enterprise-F , there's no starship better in ALL Starfleet , , ,🖖😸🖖

Hey. Thanks for the comment. All the ship models here are to scale from Star Trek Online which were developed under licence and with approval of CBS and Paramount. In other words, the size of the Sovereign Class is accurate and IS that large, sir.

@@snipey47a someone at online GOOFED seriously ,, from a fan to a fan , just letting you know , , from the movies I was actually shocked by how much smaller the "E" is compared to the Galaxy Class, ship not being represented in proper scale has ALWAYS been one of my pet peeves ( point of frustration ) , example Romulans have the Deridex Warbird , ,Klingons built the Nehg-Var Battlecruiser , , but the follow up to the mighty Enterprise D was a odd dwarf sized E ??

something, somewhat minor always nagged me a bit with the various depictions of Star ship designs in Star Trek. Look at ship designs today compared to a hundred years ago... other than the basic shape they're entirely different. Star trek has all these ships look and technologically close across a couple of hundred years give or take... I think the newer versions should look entirely different than those two hundred years in the past... akin to the Automobile vs a horse/buggy, no? Its as if thew writers and /or the effects design teams totally lack imagination...they only always just go bigger.

I know this is a bit nit-picky, but the NX-01 was never technically a "USS" ship. The refit version as shown here was never on film or screen and is therefore not canon. I totally get why it's listed here, just throwing my nerd $0.02 in... Gave this a like
