My name is Richard and this is my new channel, A Bit Rich.
It's just a little bit of me and the things I enjoy.
Here I will take you with me as I share some of my experiences and adventures, usually with my trusty partner Paula by my side.
I will be packing my camera and drone to produce a whole range of content that will include running videos, including our parkrun journey and various races, football vlogs and stories, product reviews and much more besides.
And all with some great drone footage.

@@DeeJay_78 yes it was a great run. I was surprised I managed to sneak under 41 but I did feel good. Looking forward to Sunday but it's a tough route. Hope to see you at some point 👍
@@abitrich68 you did great man!! Yeah it definitely ain’t the easiest route, but the old Gateshead one finished on a beast of a hill so I am glad it’s this new route. Be very interesting to run through the town centre. Am just gonna try and enjoy it and the time will be what it is. Have a good run 🙂
Glad it was a great holiday! I got my GN 10k number today, I'm in the green wave. Will give you a shout if I see you there. Massive well done again on that brilliant PB in Troon!
Yeah it isn't easy but very enjoyable. Yeah looking forward to the 10k next week, definitely say hello if you see me. I'm doing the Bridges of the Tyne 5 Miler on Tuesday as well. Busy week
Absolutely loved our time there. So sad to have to come home. Such a beautiful place and we met some fantastic people. Thank you for watching our journey 🙏
Fantastic running to both of you! 24.12 is outstanding Rich, very well done. Can I have a peek at your training plan please? haha. Looks like Paula ran her best for ages as well, huge congrats to her, brilliant running. Hope yous have loved Troon 🙂
Thank you. To be honest I don't have a training plan at the moment, I just put the hours in through the winter and spring and now I'm just doing parkrun, races and the odd midweek run. I did loads of hills and intervals in March and April though which has built up my base fitness I think 😊
@@abitrich68 great stuff. Well it's clearly working! I think I'm maybe overdoing things with my training at the mo and maybe need to strip it back a bit so I am not too tired for Parkruns on a Saturday. Funnily enough, just started to incorporate some hill sessions again! Went to Rising Sun for my 8 mile run tonight - was brutal in that heat. I am totally wrecked haha. Keep up the good work!!
Well done on the race, I’ve also done it 2 years running but I only leave in Wylam so luckily I got to walk down to the start. It looks like you parked pretty far away across the river. See you next year, I was number 16
I live in North Tyneside so no excuse for getting lost, especially as I did the Blaydon Race last week! Yes, the weather was great, and it's a lovely run. I'll be back next year for sure
Load of lies if people say they are a good car. These cars are pure heaps of shite .stay clear for god sake .these cars are no more Japanese than I am .they are 100 percent French shit.
Nice review. Back in Nottingham now after my annual trip to Newcastle to do the Blaydon Race. Liking the t-shirt this year and a canny goodie bag to boot! 😊
Great running, Rich!! Sub-50 after Jesmond Dene is amazing. Really good to bump into you as well. Also, super impressive how quickly you got this edited and uploaded 👌
Ha, I was certainly regretting Jesmond Dene during the final couple of miles that's for sure! A great experience though and so pleased I finally got a place. Did you get your target time?
It was great but much harder than I anticipated. I'm not sure Jezzy Dene on Saturday as a good idea in the end. Glad you enjoyed it. What time did you get in the end?
I do like the crest of Durham AFC. The green landscape, in which the pitch is embedded, looks inspiring. What a place to play football, even if Durham has fallen so deep. I guess football is a constant game of up and down, so perhaps Durham will now again go on an upward trajectory.
Great vid. This one almost killed me!!! I have done twice and not in any rush to do it again. It is a graft for sure! Your time is fantastic Rich. You must be ready to run sub 24.30 on a flatter course for sure. Very good running.
I was shocked by the time to be honest but I think the downhills helped. If I hadn't stopped to look at the waterfall I'd have sneaked in under 26mins. I'll go for a PB in a couple of weeks when we're in Scotland
The season they finished with zero points was not because they lost every game but had a 6 point deduction. However they actually beat FC United of Manchester at Gigg Lane & I think Whitby Town? at home to nullify the points deduction. The team was almost exclusively made up of students once the regular players had jumped ship, & it was noticeable how the DCFC fans never got on the players' backs despite the woeful form.
There in Wearside Division 2 now like you say Fromthe Northern League then Wearside League division 1 then relegated again then they ended the season with 9 wins WOW
Great video guys. It’s my fav one I’ve done so far. Paula that happened to us too. No even sure how really 🙃 but completely by accident. The weather looks fab 😎
I've done Silksworth twice, enjoyed it both times. I like that hill at the end, it helps me pace myself and think about how much to leave in the tank before I hit it
Yeah I was thinking about it on the way out but in the end I just tried to get up it as best I could. It's a nice run, looking forward to doing it again
I caught wind of a brand new Parkrun in Sunderland just this morning and it turned out to be a really nice course, otherwise I probably would have be there at Silky too.
@@abitrich68 Yeah, a few of the marshals were quite interested in how people found out. I just looked on the list of nearest not done yet on the website app and Fulwell Quarry was on the list.
