Its a rebadged lancer made in Malaysia because of Proton(a car company in malaysia) and Mitsubishi has collaboration or idk but its base is lancer body but with smaller engine,we call it Proton Inspira
Tun M envisioned it as the Jewel, The pride of the Malays.....strangely he is not a Malay as his father is an Indian from Kerala. Nevertheless proton failed to break world market. It is a tough market to penetrate as a lot of advanced countries are making cars but failed. Hyundai was established the same time with Proton and thry too had the help of Mitsubishi. I remember both engines the same but Hyundai body was their own design.
For what is worth in my experience, my first car right after technical school, without diplomas, looking for whatever job suitable, is proton saga, most people called kereta kebal, cheap for the time, easy to maintain, modify, easy to source out the parts even till now and i still keep it. then after Perodua came, whats essentially toyota kei car being rebranded and locally manufactured (up untill now), not my cup of tea. probably they should increase the material thickness of the car to make it drive better and sportier but executive decisions might dictate otherwise. Then i bought Perdana, DIY'ed strut bar for the whole car, drives much sportier, handles much better. Series of flops follows and especially tiara and renault engined Waja was plagued with issues, should have stick to mitsubishi engines.
@@FamousLastWorld just bought a 43k saga. Good ride and handling with stabilizer bar front and rear suspensions. Will give daughter when she srarts working and continue with the instalments.
@@JacobJoesphkepala hotak hang Perodua Anak Syarikat UMW pula ada saham dalam Toyota,Daihatsu,Isuzu Ikut celah mana Perodua bawah Toyota sedangkan kerjasama kalau hang beli Daihatsu,Ke Toyota Sekalipun tetap duit masuk poket Malaysia
Proton Not A Mistake,But How They Manage Is The Mistake For Example Hyundai,Kia,Toyota, Mitsubishi Etc Car Manufacture They Country Banned Import Cars For The Next 30 Year After Firsts Car Was Introduce,They Want To Support Local,So This Company Can Have Strong Financial,To Produce New Product Even Today If You Visit Japan,China Or South Korean You Barely See Foreign Brand
@@sayfolman7752 Well, I do have a 05' Proton Satria GTi R3. It's a Mirage 2 door hatch platform with performance upgrade from the factory. It's a 150 limited run hand build unit only in black .... I got a 01' Audi RS4 Avant and 12' Mazdaspeed3. Here is the thing, all 3 of them are proper cars with manual transmission and I always wanted to buy and enjoy the driving experience. Since 05' there isn't a single model of Proton I'm willing to trade/ buy new/used. ... They don't have halo model, they stopped their rally program post 2005 when they started way a head of Hyundai in rallying. .. They were quicker than Hyundai, Kia and Daewoo to be establish in Australia, UK/Europe and parts of Middle East and Africa. ... Whoever in charge of Proton now doesn't give a shit about it and got no interest in automotive
Proton makes pretty good cars before 2017 by combining both Mitsubishi and Lotus techs into their cars. Now, Geely rebadge sucks, full of reliability issues
No, Geely is so much better. During the Mitsubishi days there was so much problems and issues. Now Proton is going places. Soon E.Mas EV car is going to be launched.
"...what was the other one, a Renault?.." No Renault product has ever used anything from Mitsubishi to date. The reverse is true however, as the new Mitsubishi ASX is a rebadged Renault Captur and the new Mitsubishi Colt is a rebadged Renault Clio.
A proton is a subatomic particle found in the nucleus of an atom. It has a positive electric charge of +1 elementary charge and a mass of approximately 1 atomic mass unit (amu), which is about 1.6726 × 10⁻²⁷ kilograms. Protons, along with neutrons, make up the nucleus of an atom, and the number of protons in an atom's nucleus determines the chemical element's identity (its atomic number). Protons are composed of three quarks (two up quarks and one down quark) held together by the strong nuclear force.
No shit, Malaysians care about drive range and fuel economy. As you can see, Malaysian currency is absolute shit so we need to save more money on our cars and fuel
there's no doubt about it.. the esemka is a great car that can only be bought by the dedemit and the esemka car can't be seen with the naked eye because the esemka is an invisible car
