Hi Guys! My name is Terry, I am an English teacher from Ireland.
I come from a small town in the North West of Ireland called Donegal town and my mission is to help beginners and people with a low level start to learn English.
I am a passionate language learner, I can speak Spanish, Portugese, French and Italian.
I studied Spanish literature and translation at Trinity College in the capital city of Ireland.
With this page I help professionals or students reach a more advanced level of English.
I believe learning a language is an amazing thing you can do for a better, more interesting life!
I hope to help you with videos about Fluency skills, grammar and job interviews preparation!
Hi terry... When i speak English i feel hesitant and shy.. How to improve my speaking english... I am not able to frame sentences in my mind that's why i can't crack any interview Please help me
That's a great explanation. But in another video, it was explained quite differently as: You are at a friend's house, and she says will go out for a walk, and then you say, ohh, I'd love to, but I am wearing heels, so I can't. Then, the other one says, "What's your shoe size, you reply as 7, then she says, " oh, I would've given you my extra one, but I don't think they'll fit yiu.. Please explain the doubt here
What about asking somebody to do something for me, but conveying the meaning 'instead of me'. I will bring a cup a cofee for you ( you are my guest) vs I will bring s cup lf cafee for you ( becuse you are lazy and did not want to go to the store)
very useful tips! I´m frustrated about not to be fluent in english despite I had understood all that you speak! Im native spanish by the way , Thank you Terry
Hi Terry, thank you very much for your excellent video. My situation is exactly as you describe it. Five months ago I started an online English course. I had never studied English before. In the first two months it seemed to me that I learned a lot and was able to understand and make myself understood, but little by little I realize that, above all, my oral comprehension is stagnant. I can't understand the natives at all. I do all the activities suggested in the academy (listening, reading, speaking, mirror training, vocabulary, etc.), I progress by speaking, but not understanding. I hope your video helps me. Thanks a lot.
I am really glad you like it. I know have a dedicated channel for IT professionals where I publish a lot more videos! youtube.com/@EnglishforITProfessional-oi1qg?si=j56iFIQidBRy5jx2

Hey Terry, Could you please clarify me? the difference between 1:- I don't think he will take the decision. 2:- I don't think he would take the decision.
Hey man, so in sentence 1, it is a real situation, you don't think it's going to happen, but you are talking about a real situation, and it is a real possibility. sentence 2 is not real, it is an imaginary very unlikely situation hope this helps!
Won't take your much time, but one last things is that Does the 2nd sentence have any relation with the future time? Or only for imaginary situation. Thanks🤗
