Awesome car! I sign the paperwork tomorrow for a 2023 2SS Shadow Grey. It's not arriving to the dealership until April 14th so I have about a week. I never even test drove one before (which might be stupid), but I'm pretty sure I'm going to like it from all the videos I saw.
We call it here "mechanical" or "automatic" :) Definetely prefer mechanic, idc about traffic and other shit, cause only with shiftstick you realy engaged with driving your car
Picked up a 1LT Redline Edition yesterday. After growing up on motorcycles I had no problem understanding the clutch and can drive it without big issues, but I wanted to watch and see if your video would help me smooth out because my early gears are jerky. I think it will for sure.
Bikes have a wet clutch and dog box trans. you really gotta let the clutch out in a two step process on a car. bite point then off the pedal. and you cant hold the clutch in at lights etc without excessive wear like you can on a bike.
I just picked up the fifty package edition 2SS with 11k miles for 43k. With a new 100k warranty etc my car payments are over 700 but damn, it’s worth every penny. I cant lie, I would have loved to get some deals. 😒Your black is dope!
I have both cars and the better choice is the Camaro for all the features that was mentioned by another person. The ZO6 is a gorgeous car to look at but to me the ZL1 looks sinister. I feel Chevy should not discontinue making the Camaro because the C8 is mid engine performance and the Camaro is grassroot performance
good video..love that color also..and agree 100% for 15k-20k difference get the ZL1 !! i love the corvette also..but its common sence to me..and resale wise the ZL1 is still strong..
Corvette Z06’s feel more like a super car at first glance and first time sitting in it, until you realize the limited features you have. Heated and cooled seats, active exhaust, heads up display, dual climate control, and that’s basically almost it. The ZL1 has every one of those, but even more, like a heated steering wheel, interior lighting colors, wireless phone charger, 4 seats, blind spot monitoring, rear camera warning sounds (yeah the corvette doesn’t do that). Owning a Z06, it’s alright getting attention but sometimes it can be annoying, unless if you’re just an attention whore then by all means go for the Corvette, but in my opinion, the Camaro is the better car, more stuff for less 🤷♂️
Camaro back seat is useless, has terrible visibility and cargo space, might as well get the Z06 because it has better cargo space and better visibility and a ditched back seat because there is no room for one.
I like the ZL1 it’s an absolutely beautiful car. I’m having a hard time choosing between the Camaro ZL1 and Corvette ZO6. I’m looking for a used one so they are currently pretty close in price right now.
Okay seriously. God bless you for this video!! My little brother has a stick shift Camaro that he never taught any of us (mom included) how to start up or even drive. Well he left for the Marines 3 weeks ago and my mom needs the car moved and none of us knows how to get it started. So Sunday I’m going to go and give your advice a try and see what happens . I’m nervous lol.
Haven’t test driven a manual Camaro yet but I learned on my mom’s 2004 Honda Accord 5 speed. Thing has about 260k miles on it with the lowest clutch I’ve ever seen. Still it was a good car to learn on.
