For a 2007 4 Runner that is having issues, Do you recommend Sku: MOT-50212TR (HBB Trifecta Motor pump Accumulator) or just the Accumulator and Electric Motor?
I bought a remanufactured ABS unit online...swapped out units, all connections...But when i try to do this bleed video, the abs unit doesnt run when ignition is in on...any help?
OK, I just replaced my entire unit...2004 4runner SR5 v6...after all install, I'm trying to do a system bleed but the abs pump/motor doesn't start when turning ignition to 'ON'...are there start permissive or am I missing something? Can I still bleed the unit without the abs running? Need help!
When it’s cold out my brake booster surges over and over and the fluid moves to one side of the brake fluid tank. I also have a loud alarm that sounds during this. Once it warms up the alarm goes away and the surging stops. My brakes work fine and are firm. The booster has done this since I got it replaced a couple years ago. Will this fix my problem?
I did that exactly but my wheels were locked, I realized the pin that connected to the rod of the brake pedal was connected when the pedal was half pressed so I had to extend the rod to reach the pedal, the problem was not solved from some reason, the ABS light was still on, the car was able to move but a gentle touch on the break and it would stop but not retract back, I’m really puzzled what did I do wrong
my 4runner (2014) has dragging brakes. Been driving me crazy. Replaced all the calipers, all the pads, all the rotors, and fluid. Still dragging. All 4 drag just a little. When the engine is off, they dont drag. When the engine is on, they drag. Its enough to knock the MPG down from 17 to 12. They get pretty hot on highway speed trips. 250F. I think its something in the brake master cyl. Unfortunately it doesnt appear to be serviceable. Looks like im on the hook for the thousand dollar HBB unit. Cant think why after bleeding the system im still getting ever so slightly dragging brakes.
I have an issue on my HBB 07 FJ Cruiser manual transmission. The brake pedal went all the way down,no lights on dash, pump the pedal the pressure comes back, but pedal goes down again,I changed the piston for a start, but problem is still there, accumulator is on it’s way, what else You would suggest to do Thanks
I changed mine out and I still have the ringing noise and now a grinding noise can you please help me. Make a video on how to change out the accumulator please! Bc it's got to be that now that I've read the comments
Hello, thank you for the great video on how to replace the ABS motor, I actually did that a couple years ago and it worked great, however, now I’m getting some sporadic scratch, buzzing noise, and a technician told me that I have a bad ABS pump, which is the part that sits above to the left of the motor. I’m wondering if you’ve ever replaced this ABS pump or requires the entire master cylinder housing to be replaced? Thank you kindly for any input.
It doesn't matter if you hss 4 as long as you bleed it earlier. It has a higher boiling point and pulls more moisture over time but it might also keep a person attending to their brakes, haha.
2001 SR5 runner 3.4 Well... I'm not sure if I messed up or not ,but I rebuilt my caliper and 1 of the pistons came out fluid everywhere of courser fixed that (bled the brakes) free of air and now my pedal is hard w/minimal stopping power. I hear the motor cycling on the master cylinder but no fluid comes from the RED line at all even when it cycles so... do you think the pump, motor or my technique is wrong ? I'm just about ready to bypass all of this nonsense and fit it with a 99 non abs system. any thoughts? thanks.
At the end of this video you said "bring it back...let it rest for 15 mins....and follow the same procedure for the 4 brake lines only". Isn't that what you already did? Or do you mean go to each corner of the vehicle and do the same? Thank you for this video bc I'm about to do this to my 4Runner.
2007 FJ cruiser. Had low fluid (400k miles) I assume it sucked air into system. I bled exactly as the video and worked perfectly. I hope that you have a blessing coming your way. This video was a blessing to me. Cheers 🍻 my friend!
