Made in China ...😊 I think, the head and body of a blythe is made in china, they assamnle it in japan, add nice clothes, nice box and maybe a story and they sell it for 10x more.....well, it is a lovely experience to receive such a jewel of a box with all the goodies.....
Loved watching you unboxing Arledge. I actually didn't order her when she was on Junie Moon, because I was in two minds. I liked the fact that she had silver hair and I also liked her dress with the neck ruff but I just didn't feel super-compelled to get her until later when she was sold out, so I ended up getting her from CC-Toys instead and she arrived a few days ago. She'll be living in her box for a while as I tend to space out my Blythe unboxings. I really liked the dress that you made for your Brenda Blythe as the Queen of Hearts - the roses all over it were perfect for her and the shape of the dress was lovely for her too. I think Alice in Wonderland is massive in Japan, they really seem to love the whimsical and surreal aspect to the story and characters. I know there have been quite a few Blythes which have had the Alice theme, although didn't quite know that there were THAT many - as featured in the intro to your video!

I only started collecting authentic Blythe dolls July 2023, so I’m rather gutted I’ve missed out on Alice themed dolls of the past, however I suppose I would be over run with them by now if I had started sooner. 😆I really enjoyed seeing your unboxing of Brenda. I haven’t used my Brenda’s hat since unboxing her, it’s difficult to get it to look right on photos, however I will try to use it. I’ve also used a fine sanding pad on her forehead to the take the shine off. She photographs so much better for it. I hope that you enjoy your Arledge Time keeper as much as I have. @@ClaireWhoMakesThings Brenda's hat is a bit awkward, the actual crown of the hat should have been bigger so it fitted her properly rather than it just sitting on her head like it does now. I started collecting Blythes in 2021, I currently have 8 unboxed and 2 still to open. I also have two middies. I really have to be wowed to get a new Blythe, Chloris is lovely, but she doesn't grab me.
What a Parade of Alice dolls! I do love a red/black/white theme ❤🖤🤍 You've done a terrific job creating the whole scene!! This is another wonderful and inspiring episode for all members of the Blythe collecting community 😊 and I'm so so looking forward to your whole collection of dolls being displayed in the new craftroom. Thank you so much Rowan, I really appreciate your comment. I did so much planning before I started this project, I made a virtual mood boards, sourced materials, then got making. It was really difficult leaving my doll in the box for so long. I was staring at her through the clear plastic and tried to imagine what would suit her😆. It’s difficult to style a doll that has such amazing stock. If only I gave myself that care and attention! lol

Your videos are SO good! I really want to get Arledge now , Im not sure where I can find her though, she is not on the Junie Moon website now. You certainly have a wonderful talent for making clothes for your dolls! I have the pattern for Luna, and her books, am looking forward to making her and some outfits too. Arledge is a beautiful rendition of Alice. I especially love the black and white toile dress she is wearing. I always enjoy seeing what you have sewn from your pattern books. I love how well you make your Arnie and Carlos sweaters, I ordered the pattern year ago but as you are I am also have renovations in my house and my computer is off and no wifi so I cannot get to that pattern, anyway I did fine making the sleeves and bottom of the sweater its the attaching the sleeves that I am stuck I think they are reglan. Do be a dear if you have time and do a knit along for the pattern you are an expert and I love watching you!

She's a terrific new member of your doll family! I really like your 70s fabrics 🌈 they certainly suit her yellow hair! I'd say promote your your shop everywhere you can, maybe have a ko-fi shop? Etsy charges a lot i hear. And, dare i say, go for free music. Those licensed music fees are jolly high and your camera, photos and editing skills are so good that im sure the quality wouldn't be affected. Those are just my thoughts 🤷♀️ 😊 I always LOVE your videos, im so happy when you pop up! Altho i nearly missed this one 😲 yikes!!
Thank you so much Rowan. The problem with the free music on youtube. I couldn’t edit it in my app. I film, edit and upload all on my phone, I find this the easiest way. I can’t use their music because I do it that way. Maybe this would change if I had a mac computer. I really appreciate your advice Rowan. I would consider ko-fi if I was doing more regular instructional videos. I really hope to do more of that in the future.

She is a beautiful doll! I got my first fakey doll as a gift from my sister in 2019. Since then, I’ve bought a lot of the fake ones. Then my two sisters went in together to get me Heather sky a few years ago. I like the term you use… “Re-style.” I like that term… Restyling versus the customizing.

I know that I haven’t shared them much lately, but I do bother with them a lot, just not buying new factory friends at the moment, but I’ve been modifying them.

Float Away Dream and Urban Fairy Ellie were my very first Neo Blythes (I had two fakeys at last year's VBR) - my nieces had gone to Japan last year and brought them back for me. I opened Urban Fairy Ellie first but I opened Float Away Dream second - I love it because my little nieces helped me to unbox them and it's so fun to share this hobby with them. :D
