It's a nice house but to me it did not have the wow factor that the price suggests. Nothing wrong with your video and better than many others I have watched.
There are some variables based on use. Best to use an IMT calculator to be sure. www.globalcitizensolutions.com/imt-calculator/ I have not been informed that this house had sold so I assume it’s still for sale! Reach out to the realtor for more info.
You did a great job!! Lovely layout and would suit our need for a house for our two familes but a bit out of our price range sadly. The garage was a fantastic surprise!! Woud be great for a swimming pool with nice views! Location seems good too!
Expats are people who are not moving permanently, but might be in the area temporarily for work, school, a "gap year", etc. Not everyone who moves to a new country does so with the intention of relocating permanently.
Thank you for showing this beauttiful property, I have been watching many other channels but I love the way you show the property and explain. I'm planning to buy a farmhouse in Portugal but kids schools, we will be free next year.
This one has now sold (pending) but there are so many wonderful properties here on central Portugal! Contact Mandy Walker- she’s great and helped us find our house the day after we arrived!
Very good question! It’s been standing for a couple of years and we had some intense winds this year and it survived but research into how dome homes stand up to intense weather would be a good idea before purchasing.
@@ExploringinPortugalsorry but it's 40 minutes drive in a horrible track that is even more horrible in the winter. The owners are selling the land because it's just to far away from everything. But then here we see that it's just a 40 mins drive. Ridiculous
Beautiful home 😃 And actually I would say that the upstairs area with the master bedroom with the ensuite bath and the living room with the Beautiful balcony. I would think I would want that for my bedroom because you're upstairs. An ensuite bathroom and then you have that balcony to go out on and have your cup of coffee in the morning. I don't know. I just think that would be the master bedroom 😅
Agreed! I think the only reason you pick the ground level suite is if you cannot go up the stairs that often any longer. Which in that case, having two en suites is great.
Hello lovely people I wanted to offer some support and some advice, although that sounds patronising, I'm sorry. I believe you guys are doing a grand job and there is lots to like. Cody's camera work is great and you give great insights into the properties you show, however, I personally find 30/35 mins is a good video length, any longer and my interest wanes. I found this video too long and I started fast forwarding through to the next room, which is not ideal. I don't believe you intentionally cut Cody short, I believe your brain had already jumped towards what you were going to say next and you were moving forward at lightening speed. I really enjoyed the format of your earlier videos when you didn't give quite as much information and Cody wasn't climbing into baths. Sometimes less is more. Keep those videos coming thick and fast as my house here in UK is on the market now. Blessings to you both, sending love & positive thoughts your way x
this would be my modern dream home-tech for sure! I´m impressed how prices are so different in countries/cities. I live in Hamburg/Germany and my 64m2 flat is 100k more expensive than this huge beautiful modern house which is crazy!
I'm not exactly sure but I have a theory: Portugal houses tend to have lower ceilings. Newer builds are excluded, but older homes usually are lower. Cody has to duck through doorways a lot because he's tall. A ceiling fan would be dangerous. So maybe they just weren't common due to lower ceilings and a lot of stone houses staying cool in the summer without them. But, that's just my theory.
I’ve noticed on a couple of videos, the guy doing the filming has a tendency to stand too far back from what you’re demonstrating, so it’s not possible to see the detail......
I think Cody is doing a great job and I love his input, which is insightful and very useful. I would have just liked him to have zoomed in on a couple of details when you have specifically pointed something out, for example the beautiful sink basins in a different video you both showcased. I am seriously considering Portugal along with rural France, Spain and Italy for up to €600,000. I particularly liked the riverside property you showcased at Mosteiro, Pedrógão Grande at €550,000 and could very easily imagine myself being there.
@@beaubeaumont2747 I really loved that Mosteiro home. The previous owners did all of the work so the house and garden need no work. Just move in and start living amongst all of those mature fruit trees. You should get in touch with Mandy, I cannot rave about her enough and how helpful she is. We work with her doing videos because she helped us buy our house last year.
Absolutely stunning property, I am in love with the garden, every kind of fruit imaginable, that alone is worth a small fortune. I can't imagine why anyone would want to leave this home. Sadly it is not within my budget.
I do understand it can be confusing, especially if you don’t live in Portugal yet. But there are two designations of land in Portugal- urban and rustic. Basically, you can build livable dwellings on urban land but rustic land is just for agriculture (for the most part). The plot of land where that road goes is rustic land, so solely used for agricultural purpose. By law, the owners have to have access to maintain their land. Which means clearing underbrush 2-3 times a year. But they cannot build on that land so you will only see them on the days they go back to maintain.
Keep staying tuned, Jen! We are getting some rainy/windy weather which is hard to film in, but we have some houses upcoming that should fit what you’re looking for better! Just have to get out of this little rainy patch we are in.
I’m guessing it was used as a second home when first built and the owners weren’t there often. The current owners are living here full time but just never got around to removing them. They can be if that’s your preference.
