I've played Mezzanine a couple times this year! Immersive. RUN DMC Mofi blew me away! I had chills, tears, and jumped around my listening room! I did a catch and release on Siamese Dream. I bought it for $22 and traded it for $11. I think it's going for more than that now...Good to see ya ~Corey

Hey there Brad. Good to see you. Bleach was the first Nirvana album that I ever bought. I remember buying Peter Gabriel's 'Passion' and 'Bleach'. They were both released on the same day if I remember right. The good part about it was I bought them at the record store that I was working at called Strawberries Records. So I got them on my employee discount. <> Massive Attack's Mezz' is massively amazing. <> Good to see that you grabbed Siamese Dream too. Excellent album. Here is a little past concert info on a show that I saw in 1991 at WFNX's 8th Birthday Party. I saw Smashing Pumpkins play as a backup to the headliners Nirvana in a club in Boston called Axis. Cliffs of Doneen and a friend of mine's band called Bullet LaVolta also played on the bill. It was quite a night. Always a pleasure Brad. Have a superb week~ Rob/Boston

Hello Brad; Always nice to receive VCLT from friends. Some real good LP gifts. Nirvana US, Mezzanine, Queens of the Stone Age, & Run DMC. Pearl Jam as mentioned & all popular music encapsulates a period during ones life that should never become obsolete. Regardless of artist or genre. Off center spindle holes, warps, pops & clicks show once again the problem of having records pressed independently. Hope you get a better copy. Good showings. Take care. Tina & Pat!~

I love Audible. Started it up around 2007 and, other than a couple months were I put it on hold, I've been a steady member since. It really eases the daily commute. :-) The Stand was good... really enjoyed how all the characters came together in the middle >> the way it turned into a post apocalyptic "us vs. them" was a little strange; along with the ending. :-) But yeah, the Walkin' Dude was the first character to transcend more than one King intellectual property >> which really makes King's worlds fascinating in my book (see what I did there? haha). Thanks for watching Bill! Catch ya in chat!

Tim might have made this for me >> brought me right back in, didn't it? Haha! Other hobbies... well, I (with a friend's help) installed network cables through my house and I've been adding network equipment, along with servers and surveillance camera... ya know, a playground of stuff for an IT guy. :-) I'll try to show some of it in an upcoming video. It all took a lot of time and its still not done; but I'll get to it at some point. Haha! Aaaah, I have grand plans for going big on all my projects/hobbies and often times run out of steam half way through. Haha! You should do a model train set; if you do, show it on your channel >> would love to see what you're working on. Yeah, my hip hop "career" was much of the same... mid-80s to mid-90s with some bleed through before and after. 00s really didn't have much for me and I'm just starting to pick up some groups from the 10s. Thanks for watching Wes; yeah, Blues Creation is a great listen. I'm not sure about their other work; but apparently everything got a repress in Japan during 2020 - that was a surprise to me. A very late reply to your comment Wes. Sorry for that. Yeah, you should have seen the sheer terror on my Mom's face when I ran back into the car (you could plainly hear it from outside)... Such a calm-ish song switching to something completely different after it. Haha! I'm that way with Eazy-E's debut; but not with NWA's... I actually bought the explicit when I almost wore out the dubbed tape my friend, Tim, gave me. I was shocked when I opened it and tried to take it back; but Musicland wouldn't take it since it was opened. Mom went in there and made them take it... shortly after that incident, the Parental Advisory stickers came about... to this day, I think I was the cause. That or my Mom. Haha! Hope you're doing well Wes! :-)

Happy Birthday Brad! It was nice spending a little over an hour with you on your birthday. And I tell you what, that hour flew by. It felt more like 15 minutes. It's good to hear that the jazz pickups are going to continue into 2021! You're very welcome for the gift! So cool that you like Nektar. I only have two albums but I stream them when I can. Talk to you in our chat!

Thank you Bill for spending an hour with me. You are too kind >> knowing it flew by is a whole lot better than thinking it drug on. 🤣 One month, might be used to just catch myself up on Blue Note reissues. I'm having this feeling that I'm missing out > though I know they aren't limited... but I enjoyed focusing on it last year that it's only natural to continue. 1-2 a month is do-able, I think. 😊 I think I learned of Nektar from Brandon; he showed "Remember the Future" and I picked up my first copy when I was digging with Ron Haggerty. I believe so any way. Enjoy their stuff and need more (only have 4). Thanks for watching Bill! Glad you FINALLY got my gift today!

So the sad thing about Ten is the album pushes 54 minutes of music on a single LP. With putting 27 minutes on a single side, you really need to cut the volume low. They really need to spread the music over three sides to do it justice. Glad to see some Amon Tobin ;) He's done a lot of great music and is sadly underappreciated. The Comet Is Coming is a great band and I would see if you get their full length that was issued last year. I am not a big hip hop guy but I have a soft spot for Public Enemy. I loved that needle drop and I'll have to go out and sample the rest.

Yeah, very good point Paul; if they just put it on three sides. That first side runs all the way to the 28-29 min mark. Less of everything (dynamics, volume, spatial sound) because of it. Maybe my words of muddy were spot on. Kyuss's "Sky Valley" suffers the same fate. I love Amon Tobin's work. Time to make Tobin more well known. ;-) I did get The Comet Is Coming's 2019; got it in early 2020 so it didn't make my 2019 favorites list but it would have been the no 1 or 2 spot. LOVE THAT ALBUM; especially the first half. I can listen to it any time or place. :) I'd give that new Public Enemy a try... they really went back to their roots on that one and just had fun with it (along with bring plenty of politics in the mix). Thanks for watching another long video. Hope this finds you well buddy.

Thanks so much Esteban! Had a great day; went out to Blaze Pizza (which is a little like Chipotle for pizza) and then went to a couple record stores.... and well, picked up a few things. Haha! Thanks buddy and hope you're doing well.

Nice stack! I have that Jimmy Smith OG copy. I agree, not his best work but still listenable. I wish RJD2 would work with more MC's! It's a shame. He's a great Hip Hop producer, but he puts out instrumental albums. I'd enjoy hearing a talented rapper on his beats. Love his stuff with Blueprint and The MHz! That Public Enemy track with DJ Premier is straight Fire!!!

I watched half of this when you put it out and meant to come back but it’s been a few days. Oops & boo on my end. Really digging the new series though. You did an awesome job with the “whack a mole” style vid. I love these because it gives you the opportunity to re-explore your collection (and gives us a more inside glimpse into it). Can’t wait for the next episode. 😊

No worries Emma. I find it difficult to keep up on videos, comment to other's video and keep up on comments for my videos... then listen to stuff I buy... 😳 A little overwhelming. But you came back and that's all that matters. 😉 Thank you and glad you liked it. Yeah, really want to make a few different style videos this year, making them fun and fresh again. We will see if I can keep that up. Haha! I think this is going to be a year were I rediscover my collection with these videos. Look forward to doing that! Thanks for watching Emma >> and doing my best to keep the sipping to a minimum. 😉

Yeah, I really enjoy Roots Manuva's work and need some more of his stuff. He started in '99 and has about 10 albums; just don't see his stuff out there. Thanks for watching Wes and glad you like this format; hope to keep this series going... it's quick content to shoot, edit, and upload. 😃
