Just got back to watch the rest of this Brad and I just wanted to send you my condolences. Sounds like you have some amazing memories. No one will ever take that away from you. I have not had a pet since the early eighties. Loosing my dog was really tough on me. But its more of a time issue now. I have way too many responsibilities at the moment. Possibly in the future I will get another one. That was a beautiful tribute to Batou~ Rob/Boston
Thank you so much Rob. Yes, I do have some amazing memories >> Batou was one in a billion! And I cherish all of those memories; they never fail to bring a smile to my face when I go to them. I'm sorry for the pain you went through for your pup and I understand. After Videl is gone, I'm taking a break from pets for a while. The emotional & financial responsibilities really got tough towards the end of Batou's life >> and I would like the freedom to travel a little more; maybe visit some people in the VC as we get 2020 (and maybe 2021) behind us. Not having a dependent will make that travel easier... but like you might, I will probably revisit the idea of another cat (or two) later in life. Animals really make great friends and great roommates. :-) Thanks so much Rob for celebrating Batou's life with me - I'll probably share more of him from time to time. Welcome back Brad. Sorry to hear it's been a rough time. We had to put down our dog in February. He was 15 years old and falling apart. It was tough, but the right decision. Prayers for a healed heart.

Awww.... Brad, I just would love to reach out and give you a hug right now. Wonderful video. I am so very sorry for your loss. Pets are so much a part of us.... they are indeed our family. I'm sorry to hear that you've had a tough few months too.... it has been a hellish year for sure. It's not been easy for me either. I've spent a good bit of time with my PS4. You know I'm not a regular viewer to your channel, but I do like to check in now and again, so seeing this was good. Take care and take it easy. ❤️

So good to see you and it's a great reminder that I need to do that same > it's been a while hasn't it. :-) Yeah, Batou was a special one and I won't find another like him in a billion other cats. :-) I wasn't really expecting this (but I guess I should have...), sharing what I did in this video actually opened the flood gates some yesterday. And I'm visiting the hurt in healthy doses to begin healing in it all. Acoustical arrangements of Queens of the Stone Age songs (some would say "surprise, surprise Brad" xD) have really aided me in the process. The band really feels their music and many of their songs can have a sadder tone if played just right... I'm certain I will see Batou again in a MUCH better place than here and he will be a friggin' tiger because his tabby body (though big for a tabby) was way too small for the size of his caring heart. :-)

Thanks DJ Chancla. It's a tough thing to do; but it was scripted almost exactly they way I pictured and wanted it - very present with him during his last minutes and it was peaceful for him. And I knew without a doubt that it was the right thing to do... I took his care as far as I could and it was time to end the pain he was in. I have a peace over it all >> just missing him now. Yeah, Batou was a good boy and I miss him still; but my mourning has become more of "smiling while celebrating memories of him" but there is still a small ache about not having him around. Not sure if that will ever go away fully... But thank you so much André and hope this finds you well. :-)
Very much missed seeing you in video format but so happy that we’re able to chat almost daily. July 15th will always be a bad day for both of us. Was so upset to hear about Batou that day. Thanks for being there for me for what is going on with Will. You are very much loved in this community. And you are a great friend! Any time, any day, and any place (I ran out of anys... I wanted to put like 15 more in) I'm there for you buddy. Yeah, July 15th sucked and unfortunately it's the reality of it all for us both. Again so sorry for the news you found that day and I pray for Will daily. Wish there was more I could do; but handing that over to someone who can do far greater things than I can even imagine... Though, I can imagine very great things. 😊 Today, after making this... I really started feeling what I may should have been processing for the last 6 weeks. Been watching a lot of acoustical arrangements of Queens songs (haha! only laugh because I feel like I always talk about them and people think it's all I listen to. It's not... but it's mostly xD). They've really helped me to focus on Batou and his life... celebrate it... and mourn it... not going too overboard with it; but allowing myself to get close to the hurt a few times today to possibly close (a little any way) that "chasm" that appeared when Batou left. I plan to share some of that in chat later (if not today... maybe tomorrow) and I know I don't need to ask >> but any time I mention Queens... in my mind I feel like it goes over like a lead balloon. 🤣 Trying to move past that as I wanna share this with you all. Love you guys (and gal). 😊 It's good to be back and I am feeling the love. :-) Thank you for your friendship, which was really at the very beginning of me in the VC; but really glad I'm a part of our chat group >> getting to know you, and all, so much better... and live life with you all. H2Vinyl Cool game soundtracks. Because you like game sountracks I have to ask have listening music that have to tunred to sound 8-bit music. I have to say I liked In Flames’ (Swedish metal band) latest album 8-bit version. I listened them sometime while working when I needed energy.

Sorry it took me so long to reply Wes. While I've been watching YT videos and even VC videos, my channel has taken the back burner of my mind for now... :) Plus, I tried replying to all of the comments and it was a little overwhelming at the time too. Thank you. :) Yeah, it was difficult to make that decision but not really; it was clearly the right thing to do. He was a good boy and I still miss him; but it's more me smiling now remembering all the good times >> like packing to go to my hometown of Iowa (from FL) and not finding him any where in the apartment. Then I checked my zipped luggage >> yep, in there. Haha! "Batou, get out of there!" Haha! That would have been a disaster! xD Yeah, still working on some of those ol' games; though I hit pause on Final Fantasy 3 (VI). There are no timetables or deadlines that have to be met. Sorry to hear about your loss. The loss can never be explained away. When the time comes it's hard to deal with. We have experienced the pain you are going through. It's hard to get over & cope with. We are here when you need to speak on issues that effect you. Thank you Tina and Pat, your words are always so gracious and kind. :-) When I am absent in community (not just the vinyl community) I put "standards" on myself... "I should do this...", "I should do that..."; in this case, "I should make a video talking about Covid and it's affect... also Batou..." and when I negate those standards once, twice, three...ten times, I start feeling tension like the relationships are on life support, the community is angry or I'm late >> all tension that truly doesn't exist in reality... just my head. :-) Your words are very freeing. Thank you. :-) I'm sorry for the pain you've experience because of loss. It's difficult and there is no easy way around it, only putting off the inevitable by never visiting it or walking through it. I think this weekend's video was me beginning to walk through it; I've been feeling a lot (not too much, I'm attempting to limit it to a few times a day) where I spent some time listening to music and allowing the music to bring me to a place of thoughtfulness of Batou and mourn him properly. I cried for the first time on Saturday since July 15 and it was good. :-) Visiting the "chasm" healthfully is the only chance I have to mend it and this work takes time. Time does not heal wounds on its own; work needs to happen too... but I can make the work a pleasure as I continue to celebrate his life. Thank you, it's good to be back and feel mighty welcomed; as I knew I would. :-) Yeah, Batou was a dear friend and death, sadly, is a part of life and I'm glad I got to celebrate his life when he was here and share it with you all some too. Thank you for those words -- his memories are with me and I know I'll remember him forever. As long as I do, he's never really gone is he. :-)
Yeah brother. They are special to us, aren't they. Cherish the times you get; I really got to slow down with Batou this year and celebrate him more as he became more dependent on me caring for him. I hated that because it was a constant reminder of him getting older; but it also gave me about an hour each day to really spend quality time with him too. Bittersweet.
