Thank God Hamilton's father and other British drivers' fathers behaved respectfully over the years it baffles me how the British media worship so much at the fee of Max while the same ones try to destroy Hamilton's reputation with some of the most scathing articles and analyses I've seen over the years. Incidentally, this is not the case on the continent they worship at the feet of Max too, but it is understandable that they disparage Hamilton with equal measure so it begs the question- why do you think?
What the hell was he thinking when he chose used softs when he had new medium tyres!? We joke about Ferrari strategies, but McLaren is on another level.
Max drove a BRILLIANT race. The comeback was just WOW! A few more laps and he'd definitely win. I especially appreciate the mature manner in which he lost two places to the McLarens (and then fought back like a champ and finished ahead of them). Wonderful timing, amazing self-control.
@@tedfromyt6523 Look at Pérez in the same car. It is Max's driving (and track condition perception) that makes him SO amazing. Even in a poor race where he was going backwards for quite some time, he finished 1 second behind the winner. That is just astonishing. And that is a clear sign of a true champ. Just like Jim Clark, for instance.
@@jakubkrcma the only reason he got so close is because of good strategic lol that undercut made him and hamilton so close to norris if max pace on the rain who got overtaken twice and still slower to sainz thats prob the same pace he will do to dry
@@tedfromyt6523 That stop was Max's call. And he managed to change the situation from a poor result to a good result. The car wasn't the best and yet he nearly won. Strategy doesn't lead to anything if you don't drive in a great way. And he did.

Checo finished his in season testing at Silverstone today and ended in P17 behind two RB junior team cars. Everybody wondered did he hire Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise to drive for him this weekend?
Max the tyre whisperer. Great strategic calls by the team, real team effort here at display. This is what wins you the title in the end of the season. Trust me it will be crucual in the end...

At the end, Max outpaced both Norris and Lewis on fresh hards while they were on fresh softs! From a deficit of 5 seconds, he closed the gap to 1.8 secs to Lewis while overtaking Lando in the process. Had it been a few more laps, he wouldve got the win, Insane skills.
You got it wrong. Lewis and Lando was on USED softs. Max was on fresh hards, thats why Max was a bit faster than them. But if you look back, Oscar was way faster than Max, but he was on new mediums. All in all, redbull was the 3rd fastest car and Max and team did an amazing job to secure p2
Snitch crying on the radio Mercedes joined the track unsafely and max evaporated and only came back when the car started working I thought he was more than the car 😂😂😂
It's the whole package. Max or Lewis would have won in the Mclaren no problem. It's not just the car, not just the driver, it is the whole team working all together. The right calls, the right car and the right driver will bag the wins. Both Max and Lewis would have called for the medium tyre

It wasn't the old-fashioned hammer time, it was something more beautiful than that. A win that means a lot to the Mercedes, Lewis fans and last but not least for himself. The greatest of all time will be dearly missed in the Mercedes team.
