As others have correctly noted, all Square did was buy Weebly to add more customers. The actual Square website editor is awful, especially when compared to what Weebly offered. Yes Square gutted Weebly, never allowed any updates. Square support is horrendous - take a look at all the Better Business Bureau complaints (thousands) and complaints from other sites. Square is a Mickey Mouse company when it comes to websites.
Comparing Squarespace and Square Online for building eCommerce websites is crucial for finding the right fit. In addition to these platforms, consider integrating InvoiceBerry for seamless invoicing. It's a great way to enhance your eCommerce business's financial management capabilities.
Creating internal navigation on Squarespace is a handy technique for improving user experience. I've found that BlogHandy helps with organizing content and making navigation smoother. It's a useful tool if you're looking to streamline your website.
I just found your videos. I'm trying to update my business website and I am having a hard time. Are you still doing consulting? I can send you my business page it's a mess. Customers have a hard time ordering.
If you are using folders then you will need to include some more of the url. Almost like a link but with an anchor at the end. Like /folder#section If that makes sense...
I currently use Square POS and square online, thinking about creating A squarespace site. Did you say that you could connect both together? Second, do you have a video on how to that.

Great instructional video, Thanx. The reason that there is a little oil in it is because at the factory they had to fill it and test it, then drain it for shipment. I have another new generator that was filled with oil and it leaked and made the bottom of the shipping box soaked. . Noise level: There is no such thing as a "Quiet" generator. ALL generators are noisy and have to be to run a good load. Also I wonder if the Generator/Inverter is Pure or modified Sine wave ors bonded. I tried to run a small window ir conditioner (600w with 900 watt surge) in my RV and it did not get cold though the fan ran. I bought from amazon a bonding plug in the 120 volt outlet and ran the RV power from the 30amp with surge protector and the air conditioner then ran freezing cold. Fact most small generators will not run the RV Air Conditioners that are installed in them, bummer!
I haven't had a full window for editing category descriptions for some time. I can only enter plain text without the ability to edit it or add photos. What could be the reason for this?
Thanks for the advice, all very good info. My biggest mistake as a beginner was actually starting on Wordpress. It took me 3 years to figure everything out & by the time I had something happening it was time to renew the plan. Now I’m trying square space instead because I would rather spend 100% of my energy on content creation instead of 90% energy on learning Wordpress & the rest trying to come up with content. My advice for beginners like me is to start with Wordpress. It’s much cheaper than Squarespace. If you can’t figure it out (like me) then switch and when the site is making income then pay someone with the knowledge already there to build the Wordpress site for you . I wanted to be able to make Wordpress work but it’s just too clunky for a beginner.
Most free wp themes not showing category page description no matter what code I insert in archhive.php and functions.php file. I found out only four free themes who can do this. Other cms can do this but world class wordpress not I wonder..... I have the AIO seo plugin maybe this is the cause of this not showing my category page description? 👍👍
I've pulled the course for now... Unfortunately both platforms have changed things around so much that I would have to re-create the entire course in order for things to make sense. I may release the course for free on YT with the disclosure that things may look different and that it is 'outdated'
Thanks for watching and for your feedback! This was the most fun I had creating a video and interestingly it performed better then most of my other videos. But alas, can't please everyone ;)
In your experience, what was the specific amount that your Squarespace monetization plateaued around? I've been trying to find information online about how much you actually can make with Squarespace (depending on what you're doing, of course) but it seems like no one actually speaks about the specifics. I've heard a million times that certain ad agencies and affiliate programs won't accept websites that aren't self-hosted... and I've heard before that there is a limit to the scalability of your business on Squarespace but I can't find anyone actually talking about numbers. It would be really helpful to know what is possible to project/plan, and also potentially strategize to capitalize on what Squarespace is capable of. As in, decide what to do based on its limitations.
It is hard to give specifics because there are so many factors at play. It depends on if you only want to monetize with Ad revenue, or if you plan to have other streams. I have a client that gets 100,000 page views on their Squarespace blog, and they make close to 5 figures per month with just mediavine ads. They also have over 300 blog posts over 5+ years and they are an authority in their niche. But soon they will be on WordPress so that they can take things to the next level.
@@Svaren Thank you for answering. I assumed that it would be hard to get into the specifics because of the variables. Even having an example of the extent of what is possible on Squarespace is helpful though, so thank you for sharing that. Is the client in this example switching because of the specific drawbacks you listed in this video? Are there other things to remember besides what you named here?
Hello! Great video. I'm super novice to Squarespace and how to speed it up, I am seeing the errors but do not know where to go from there in order to fix them. For mobile site it is showing score 30, and unused JavaScript and Next-Gen formats being the main causes for slowing it down. I am running ads, on my website so not sure if that's where the Java Script is coming from, either way I'd like to optimize my websites speed. Thanks!
Any idea why the choke run off knob would get stuck. Well not really stuck, I ran it to charge my off grid batteries and it ran fine and ran out of gas, stopping normally. 3 days later I went to use again, filled with gas and when I went to turn the knob to the start choke position it will not turn in that direction. It will turn towards the off position. But won't go past run position towards choke. If you have any suggestions I would be grateful. (FYI I change the oil and clean the air filter regularly. 3 runs after last maintenance withoutany trouble.)
Hey Svaren Web Studio, I just taught of this backup of a thing last week. I do update some sites my company managed. However, anytime I update the site...I do think cant I backup incase there issue while updating the site? You know... I prefer WordPress to Squarespace
An awkward backup for Squarespace is to just duplicate the page and then make changes. But it's messy and you have to disable the duplicate copy and the pages dashboard can get messy. Whereas, all my WordPress sites are on Sieground where we have daily backups and always make a backup just before major changes. Not to mention using staging to make really big changes behind the scenes.
I run the Smarter Tools version. A little bit older variant of the same machine. Mine runs smooth and quiet after proper break in and replacement of the spark plug with an NGK plug. Seems like this one was surging in the beginning and the regular idle seemed a bit high compared to mine. I do a five step break in. Massage the cylinder, replace the plug, and one hour oil changes. I coat the air filter with oil and run ethanol free gas with a combination of seafoam and Lucas fuel treatment. My other generators are 10 to 15 years running and run like new. I attribute this to meticulous maintenance, proper fuels and break in. The smarter Tools 2000 has been a great little generator for topping batteries and keeping power tool batteries charged up.
