@mitchellwhitley3823 If you exit via Anna Bay, there's a service station on the way back to Williamtown I go to. Has a good underbody washer there. Normally do that then give it a good rinse when I get home filling the chassis with water to flush any sand/salt water out. Been on there many times and always give it a good clean afterwards with no issues
@@gettindirty4x4adventure it’s a joke don’t take me seriously but yeah the Watto’s are at the back of our property. Over 60 years. Not many of us original locals left. I used to do motorcycle tours up there and out to yengo. I like your video. The track you mentioned with the gate now closing it is the top of slippery rock..but that’s not the original slippery rock it’s just to the south of there.
i was hoping on the re install that i might get a more visual step by step but the end is just a vague as the beginning, thank thou. at least i got an idea
@Abfs900 What did you want to see? It's the same as removing it. Just follow the removal steps and that's that's how it's done. - Plug the water sensor back together - Put the filter in the housing - Tighten the two 14mm nuts - Put the fuel lines back in - Start priming the filter till hard - Start the vehicle then you may need to prime it again until it will stay running.
@pJ09_90 Nah didn't film it when i changed mine. There's a few on RU-vid I found. It's just two Allen head bolts holding it to the back of the fuel pump. About a 30 minute job
Oh good ol German Point Road. What a mongrel. What was the 2nd track where the Ranger got stuck? Looks similar to Mackenzie's but I'm not sure. Never fun when you flood the car mate, I strongly suggest buying one of those Spot Cleaners (Bissell one like I have). Great for getting that crap out and cleaning the carpets after even just a dusty or muddy trip.
@gettindirty4x4adventure no it won't get itball out but the bissell is pretty good at lifting the dirt and helping dry the carpet out. There was a 2nd spot where he was struggling, you drove it first.
@DylanMoore-o8t thought it may have been. I did it in Jan as part of the Pajamboree (Pajero meet). The wheel lift coming up the hill near the end got me but over all it was a very fun drive. Looks like it has been chewed out quote a bit since Jan.
HEY MAN THANKS FOR THE VIDEO anychance you know how to remove the centre stack out from interior trhat holds the aircon buttons etc on a mn 2009 glxr triton
That was the day after I cleaned it. Was a mess! The next day after that was the first day at the new job and its been vaccumed once since. Had a decent pile of dirt in the footwell now
Pretty intense, I was thinking about doing this but after watching this I'll wait until I've got diff lockers, lift kit and a winch fitted. Fingers crossed
Silly buggers like this will lead to shutting down great tracks that most of us respect and enjoy. Such a shame. It ain’t rocket science. Good on you for being responsible and taking care of it.
My Colorado had a muffler delete with the exhaust pipe finishing just behind the cab when I bought it. The dealer tried to tell me that it had a tune done, not that it fooled me 🤣 While it wasn't overly noisy, it did drone a bit. Recently I tracked down a standard rear muffler at a wreckers so I swapped it out. Drives nice and quiet with no notable detriment to performance. If anything, the fitting of a Safari snorkel made more of a performance improvement. Since buying it, I've tried to make sure that there no issues that the boys in blue can defect me for and nothing to fine!
Heaps of people have it like that and beats me how they get away with it. Mine was in the factory spot out the back and got done twice for it yet there's much louder 4wds out there blowing smoke and racing around.. a snorkel does help a little. Some say it doesn't but you get slightly cooler air then under a bonnet. They'll still defect you if they want. Can't have a vehicle that's not factory without having issues nowadays
Thanks for cleaning up tht camp-site mate.. I too found a camp site out bush this wkend with shit everywhere and a fire still burning.. And its only about 5 k from town.. Lazy bastards ruin it for everyone..
Good to see a video of you getting out mate and good job cleaning up the rubbish, shame you had to. Also a shame about the fire too but sadly too many just don't care.
Ok thanks for the comment. Stated as a DIY video of how I do it on my own personal vehicle not how everyone else should do it on there's. How I did it here is the quickest and easiest way for my vehicle. Can you tell me how it has lots of repetition? Each step is listed and shown from how to remove the filter to how removing it off the housing then installing it back into the vehicle. I'm sorry you can't recommend this video. With 7,100 views and 24 likes, this is the first negative comment I've received on this particular video. Thanks for watching and be sure to like & subscribe👍
That requires the covers to be removed. Put the two wires into black plug. If it works they are correct. If not switch them around. Ones signal and ones an earth. Easy to sort out once they are wired/plugged in into the headunit
@@gettindirty4x4adventure have you got somewhere i can dm you, how many wires did you already have in that black plug ? 3 or 4? i have 3, that black plug is 6 wires in total it can have
Looking good! I've just upgraded the old Hilux (Show us ya Bits) to a 2012 Colorado! It's got a ratty old steel tray on the back that I'm changing back to a tub. How do you find your tub with the draws in the back?
Oh that sounds like a nice ute. Takes up a fair bit of room with the hard cover but what I do like is what was in the box up from is now in the draws so no more reaching in. Still need to put the sides on (sold the previous draws) so when I do that I may make up a false floor and maybe have it for a blow up bed if I don't have the swag etc.
Slightly touching on the inner bottom corner of the flap. I'll cut it and see how it goes. Still need to flex it to see what it really hits when it tucks
Just bought a 2013 MN GLX Triton, do you find the paint is very thin and chips/flakes easily? What tire size on a 16" rim would work without a lift kit you reckon? Been told a 265/75/R16 with pos20 in the rims works well. Love ya vids cuzz
You can fit 265/75r16 muddies on stock suspension mate no rubbing no issues. That's what I've been running on my one. I have a 2015 mn done about 256,000km now
Yes very crap paint on all white MN's. Have various spots coming off in the normal spots. Yeah 265/75/16 on a 16x8 +20 is the limit for a non lift one.
@chestogaming51 Yes true. Ran that size before the lift. No issues beside slight scrub on the inner plastic till it wore a hole in it and was fine then
