The idea behind Like a Tourist is to create travel content that encourages people to act like a tourist in their own country, and not just abroad. We want to showcase hidden gems, amazing spaces, and promote incredible experiences all over South Africa (and eventually the world).
The WorkShop17 at Junction Mall is pretty rad too .. exquisite premium work spaces, private offices, boardrooms, event space etc. You should check it out next time you’re there !
I feel so sorry for that car guard bailing down home because he wanted to stay till everyone was done but then needs to get home safe before dark with cash on him. I LOVE Cape Town, the video is so lovely thank you, I hope we can keep creating equality in our mother city.
My biggest wish is that more South Africans would go on a long road trip across the many amazing small towns. You would see why I think this is the most beautiful country on earth ❤️
Brilliant video. My husband and I visited many of these fantastic places in 2023. Great to revisit exciting memories. Returning early next year and Mark’s recommendations have really inspired us.

Great storytelling, transitions on point, humour off the chain (the poor tour guide in that cave). Makes me rethink how much unseen life and adventure there is in this country. Definitely one for the books and a tour I'll keep in mind for myself. Well done Mark and Jeandre.
This isn’t very informative. Like prices and activities and all. You did like 4 activities or something, but the website shows more. Unless there’s just not much to do there
Apologies from our end. We wanted to do a lot more but what you don't see is how much it rained on the Sunday and Monday. That said, we never include prices. But again, apologies on our end.
Love it thanks. Our kids are grown up now and we are still young! Tip! Start early. So… our house is up for sale and the plan is to put everything into storage and go stay in different places in SA while continuing to work digitally. Prince Albert is now a definite option thanks to you 🎉
