One of the ways I’m working to repair my relationship with this beautiful but broken country of ours is through travel. What I've learnt on these travels is that the soul of South Africa lives in its small towns. In its people, its food, and its moments of shared joy.
The level of wanderlust I feel on an average day in these small towns is quite extraordinary. So you can imagine how special a place must be to bring me back only 3 months after being there the last time. Can we point to just one thing we loved about Sedgefield? Nope. But do we all agree on the biggest? Yup.
To feel Sedgefield deep inside your heart, eat the food. And while you eat the food, meet the people. They’ll show you the craft, the care and what it takes to create the perfect sandwich, cheesecake, pizza, steak, and even smoothie.
I’m hoping that, over the next few minutes, you’ll get a taste of the love. A hint of the energy. A peek at the joy. A sense of the thrumming deliciousness in and around this slow town.
