I used your Promo Code, thanks, now that I have them coming with NO LOGO, what sizer Logo do I need for the Front and what size for the back? I was going to wait and measure, but that will just make me even longer, so your help would be appreciated. thx. Actually you might not know since all of them might not be the same size correct? Nice video. Looks like this is a rebranded Reliance switch. How did you get around the fact that the switch requires a bonded neutral source...but EVs have a floating neutral?
Just replied on the other video too, but someone recently was asking about this and tested it. The EV6 using the V2L plugged into the charge port does have a bonded neutral. The V2L plug inside the vehicle apparently has a floating neutral.

Does selecting "V2L" in the vehicle make the source a bonded neutral output? Im curious if you plug a circuit tester into the extension cord thats powered by the EV6 does it pass or show "no ground"? Trying to use my EV to power my Reliance switch an running into challenges owing to this situation.

What format was your usb? In a different vid it said to format it in exFAT. But this seems necessary only if you are backign up files to then transfer them. My usb is in FAT32. I am not looking to backup or transfer any data as the PS4 is fresh. Is it okay if I leave it in FAT32 then? Edit: I'm just looking at the usb properties again. When I go into format, it shows that it is in exFAT. But when I go into properties it is showing as FAT32. Why?...
@@TechnicallyJeff Thanks. I'm hoping this fixes my ps4. All except one of my games are corrupting right after disc finishes doing initial copy. But I also wasn't able to connect to the internet yet to go through updates. I think I'm having a hard drive issue. So fingers crossed. I just bought the ps4 pro used.

Yeah I don't think it's impacting it much at all. The charger and vehicle still displayed the same kW to the vehicle with and without the extension cable, so there doesn't appear to be any loss due to efficiency.
Any videos on how to clean the evaporator coil? It is a little concerning that sprays could get the fan wet, so I am reluctant to spray foam coil cleaner up the drain hose that I do on RAV4.
@@TechnicallyJeff Ah I thought it was because I switched to the Nova Launcher, but indeed I can still create the shortcuts to splitscreen, but when I tap on the icon it doesn't start the apps. It could also be since the latest OTA update and not being related to the Nova Launcher.
They have spotted the kia ev6 2025 and Ioniq 5 testing the new NACS port . You can watch more about it on the Ioniq guy channel. I hope they release soon at least a new adapter capable to provide Tesla supercharger compatibility or the availability to replace the CCS to NACS . I am begging for it.
I don't really use the style 2, but if I recall correctly, you can set your preferred navigation app in the tbox plus settings. I'm not sure about the icons though.
What kind of phone are you using? And are you talking about call audio? And are you using android auto / carplay or just bluetooth connected to the P3?
I'm used to only have android auto in my car. I mainly use Spotify and Waze. It would be nice to use this when charging. Should I set up Spotify and Waze on this instead or can it connect to wireless AA on my phone everytime I enter my car?
I personally set up apps directly on the device and only use my phone for hotspot to provide data. It works great for me. I use Waze + RU-vid Music, RU-vid, Netflix, Disney Plus, Max, regularly. Another benefit is battery life. Wireless AA uses MUCH more battery that having the hotspot running.
Jeff, how does the TBox compare to the Ottocast P3 you reviewed a few months ago? Any preference between? The display setting for Ottocast seemed more configurable.
The Ottocast P3 interface is great. The Tbox Plus/UHD allow developer options access which let's you have split screen with Netflix and let's you customize the resolution better.
I’ve only went to one car wash. The same type as you went to. I always just keep it in drive and keep my foot on the brake. I did this in my former ICE vehicle too. Not sure why, but I did. Good info.
@@TechnicallyJeff trust me I was still paranoid in going to even that type of car wash. Your tips in the group on fb led me to try it out. Once. I’ll stick to hand washing. Does a much better job. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge on these cars. Gonna follow you on here.
If this product is UL Listed, why is that not indicated on the device label or the manual? No Nurzviy products show up in the UL database. My apartment complex replaced a broken charger with one of these, and it has been a non-stop problem. It does not function as a level 2 charger should, and frequently prevents cars from charging for no apparent reason. No warnings, no errors, no indication as to why it knows its plugged in but won't complete the circuit.
Yeah I'm not sure. This is an older version that I don't think is available anymore. I will say on the back of the manual at 2:36 in the video you can see the UL logo on the bottom.
I got the Tbox Plus and I don't use it much for a variety of reasons, the biggest one being there's no way to lock the device. So when they claim you can turn your car display into a tablet, that's not really true, because EVERY tablet is secured with a password, PIN, fingerprint or Face ID now. This device has NO SECURITY. And since it will probably be left unattended for long periods of time in your vehicle, this is a huge problem. If someone steals it, they have complete access to your Google account, saved credit cards in Google Wallet, contacts, Google Photos, etc, etc, etc. Yes, you could set up a dummy Google account just for this device, but then it becomes much less useful. You'll have to purchase paid apps, subscriptions, etc a second time. And you won't be able to access any saved or recent locations in Google Maps that you've access on your phone or tablets. You won't have your contacts. The list goes on. I think the lack of security is a glaring omission and a HUGE RISK and should be mentioned by everyone that's doing a fair review of the device. I only use my Tbox Plus when I'm going somewhere where I can bring the Tbox inside (like a friend's house) or when I don't mind slipping it in my pocket and keeping it on me. But if I'm driving to a local park to go for a jog, I leave it at home. It's not worth the risk.
If the HDMI output is not of interest would you say the T Box UHD is worth the extra over the T Box Plus? Also, I see the choice of SDM660 or SM6225 chips ... which is better?
Does the unit automatically shut down if not used? My usb ports are live at all times, and I'm worried about battery drain on the car's battery. Thanks.
It does not, but it only uses 6w (if i recall correctly). That said, what vehicle do you have that keeps the usb port powered at all times? Most vehicles power down either right away or after a few minutes. The EV6 I have for example powers down after a few minutes. It only keeps the usb port powered if the vehicle is charging. It will also power the usb port for a couple minutes if the vehicle wakes up (unlocking it, checking app, etc).
@@TechnicallyJeff thanks for the reply. I have a 2019 Porsche Cayenne. The car doesn't get used "that" much, hence my concern over battery consumption. I asked Carlinkit directly and they implied the Tbox units do shut down but wanted confirmation from someone who has one.
@@simong71 My Tbox Plus is always on as long as it has power. There's no way to shut it down, afaik. My EV6 powers down the USB ports after a few minutes, but I still unplug it when I get home, because the car will occasionally power up unattended (to charge the 12 volt battery) and it "steals" the bluetooth connection on my phone when it does this. So I have to unplug it if I don't want it stealing my bluetooth connection randomly at home.
Got it. That's odd that it wouldn't power down the USB port after a certain amount of time. I'd just unplug it if it's going to be any significant amount of time to be safe then.
