Showcasing Travel Inspiration & Great Destinations as we TRAVEL AUSTRALIA in our 79 SERIES LANDCRUISER & JAYCO JOURNEY OUTBACK CARAVAN. We’re hoping to Tread The Globe (overland across the world) in the future….watch this space…
Hi, thanks for visiting our channel. We’re Denise & Gary, both originally from the UK but have lived in Australia since 2006. We decided to sell everything, including our home and travel all of Australia, after quitting the 9 to 5.
We will be travelling in our Toyota, 79 Series Land Cruiser and 2021 Jayco Journey Outback Caravan (we originally started with a Mitsubishi Triton).
The tree with the yellow flowers is a kapok tree. Not a fruit but pods that burst open to reveal kapok which is like cotton wool. We used to have pillows stuffed with it when I was a kid.
@@turtletrackstravels yes, I’m selling the caravan I live in which I renovated and moving into my suv to travel Australia. Plan on heading to WA in the winter of 2026
Couple of black cockatoos in the sky and a cock or two on the ground! It will never happen again!! All jokes aside, enjoyed checking out those gorges . Great video guys. Just wanted to ask how you enjoy your lifestyle in Australia compared to the UK?
Ha ha 😂 that’s funny. We love the outdoor lifestyle here and the work life balance we’ve created for ourselves but we do love going back to the UK as tourists because you do all the stuff you don’t do when you live there (like visiting castles etc)…..👍🤩
WHAT!!!! what's the go with the pink shorts man.......lol. Please, use them for firelighters. This is Australia.........ha, ha....you may get mugged...
Hey guys things you find at free camps can be a real pain in the …….. 🤔 Eggs are a challenge country wide due to huge issue of bird flu though most of the chicken farms. Man Katherine Gorge has changed since I was a kid. Need to get back there.
😂😂😂 we didn’t realise about bird flu until later after filming, haven’t really kept up with the news…. You definitely should do another visit to Katherine Gorge, reminisce 🤩👍
It's called a base plate! Who travels with the standard jack? I always carry a hydraulic bottle jack! As well as a hilift. Your standard jack is useless when your stuck up to your diff! I carry everything in the rear of my ute not behind the seat. Plus only one spare! WTF!
US LOL 😂……was thinking of getting a different jack but just haven’t got around to it. We did think about an extra spare but didn’t want to carry the extra weight….thanks for your advice 👍
We stayed here parksaustralia.gov.au/kakadu/stay/camping/garnamarr-campground/ ……it took us about 1hr 30mins to walk to the top of the falls, we were there end of July 👍😊
Less than two minutes in and already got the medicine out........got to love it.....living your best lives.....epic......No need to mention how you got the crook back, I know roof top tents have a thin matress.......ha!!!ha!!!!......lol another entertaining video
@@letsgo2510 😂😂👍🤩 thank you, glad you enjoyed our video… think I did my back when I went for a run, think I jarred it and yes you’re right, combined with sleeping on the RTT probably pushed it over the edge
Hi Denise & Gary, Your contents are awesome. But your video has some SEO issues. If you fix the issues, your channel will grow and video views, subscribers will increase organically. If you don't mind, Can I help you?
I don't know about you guys but that boat seems to sit awefully low in the water, those monsters scare the crap out if me I am never going above the Tropic of Capricorn.......lol....... Next time I think I will have 2 Rums before I watch another one of your videos..........
We’ve been to Kakadu only once it was amazing for us, thought we’d spend half an hour at Cahills 3 hours later absolutely loved watching the crocs an amazed no one was taken on the slippery muddy shore line , my husband got eyed off by a croc on the shore line…the lookout was amazing at sunset..
Same, absolutely loved it and it was so hard to peel ourselves away from Cahills. Watching the crocodiles was an awesome experience, that would have been scary knowing that you’re being stalked by one 😬
Love Kakadu Love the wetlands ❤and all the animals Point Stuart /shady camp area is beautiful on the Mary River Looks like you both have enjoyed it Happy travels 😊

Mitch field national park has been ruined by the easy access ( bitumen road). Way too commercialised. Then the buses loaded with tourists put the icing on the cake! So sad.
Have to say that we were shocked to see it was all bitumen, we thought it was going to be all gravel roads and 4WD tracks….I bet it was better before bitumen 👍
Thank you for the Babinda love…..great place to live. I’ve lived here for 54 years, moved from the Gordonvale district where both our families were pioneers. Needless to say I was chuffed to see you climb the Pyramid - I did it when I was twelve, I am now 72. No tracks in those days. Beautiful part of the world, the far northern coast and so happy to watch you getting pleasure from it. You may or may not know that there is an annual race up the pyramid. It starts in the park near where you hung your washing….they run from there up the pyramid and back…..the current record for men is 1 hour 15 minutes and 34 seconds and the females is 1 hour 32 minutes and 6 seconds.
We absolutely love Babinda, such a beautiful place. Yes, we had read about the race, think that’s a bit out of our league lol 😂…. This is our 2nd video here, we came through here when we traveled around with the caravan…. BABINDA BOULDERS, Josephine Falls & The Golden Hole! You are both shockers at moments and we can’t stop laughing , but I think that’s why everyone luvs u both. Have a great week. Can’t wait till next Sunday! ❤️👍💕🥰🐢🥂
Absolutely love you both, you make me laugh which is always a good thing. While watching your videos I am now planning my own getaway for winter 2026. Planning on heading to WA and work my way up the coast and over the top of Australia. Can’t wait to visit all the places you have mentioned.
Thats their issue. Well their 2 faced, because it was locals from there on TV news whinging they want people to stay away for a while until things are back to normal. Not my issue, l don't do Queensland, its over rated.
@@thetechman143 there was just a trickle of tourists when we were there 4-5 months ago so they welcomed tourists but things may have changed since. We haven’t seen the news article that you’re referring to, so we can’t comment on that….
You two are so funny, I loved this video. The place looks great. I definitely want to go there. I was a bit worried when you were drifting off down Berry Springs!! Can’t wait to see Litchfield. Have a great week. 👍🐢❤️
