It doesn’t always work out how you expect when you’re travelling Australia Full time as we will show you in our REAL TRAVEL LIFE ADVENTURES UNCUT!… We take you along for the ride as we travel NORTHERN QUEENSLAND in our Landcruiser 70 Series (79 Series Landcruiser) and ROOF TOP TENT, we travel to THE DAINTREE Rainforest hoping to go all the way through BUT the BLOOMFIELD TRACK and CREB TRACK and many other roads are CLOSED due to road damage after the floods caused by Cyclone Jasper., so THERE;S NO WAY THRU!!.We make the most of it and CHEAP CAMP at Noahs BEACH CAMP for a few days, experiencing what it’s like to camp in THE OLDEST RAINFOREST IN THE WORLD. Even with the road closures we still manage to explore the area, taking in a few hikes to see the beauty of this place, we even spot a couple of Cassowaries in the forest.

Thanks for showing us the damage that has been done through the Daintree. It is heartbreaking but it will regenerate. Those big leaved palm trees are Licuala or Daintree fan palms. Native to the Daintree. Good luck moving further on.

We first drove the Daintree in 1985 to Cape Tribulation , 2 years after the dirt road was cut through the rainforest leaving the debris along the sides and a lot of people up in arms due the destruction of the forest . Next time was 2007 an oh what a change but by our next visit in 2017 commercialism had taken over . Just enjoy yourselves .

And tourists were asked to not go there until roads have been repaired. But nobody listened.

The local businesses want tourists otherwise they wouldn’t survive

Thats their issue. Well their 2 faced, because it was locals from there on TV news whinging they want people to stay away for a while until things are back to normal. Not my issue, l don't do Queensland, its over rated.

@@thetechman143 there was just a trickle of tourists when we were there 4-5 months ago so they welcomed tourists but things may have changed since. We haven’t seen the news article that you’re referring to, so we can’t comment on that….
