Curious about life in Japan? Me too! My name is Sarah and I create educational videos about Japanese culture, geography, language, lifestyle, food, and anything else I find intriguing about the country. I create these videos in order to expand my knowledge of Japan in a way that is memorable for myself and hopefully for you too!
the problem I encountered doing this method is that there are so much kanji that are very similar but different in a very small way, so if you used a mnemonic for the first kanji, it can interfere with the second kanji, or in my case, several kanjis were the same for me.
Thanks for making such a thoughtful, lovely video. I especially appreciated the positive quotes you included from the former JETs on reddit. They really resonated with me personally. I have been really annoyed lately at the number of negative videos regarding teaching English in Japan and yours was such a breath of fresh air for me :). Thanks again!
I'm currently trying to get my GED at a college and they said I could get my foot in the door for a low (to no) cost 2-year Associates. If they require 4 years, I might be out of luck.
YOUR MUSIC STYLE IS SO SIMILAR TO MINE, I can tell anime inspires you alot. I just watched a couple of your vids and im glad i found your content. Are you planning to make more videos at some point? Don't quit!
Hi Sarah, great video and thanks for making it! I found it through a recommendation from Prof. Arguelles :D Do you think a phrase book would be good enough as a starter?
It’s the wage that really sucks when USDJPY is 157 yen to the dollar. You don’t even make $2000 usd clear. How are JETs supposed to pay off their student loans with wages that pay less than a high school drop out makes working at McDonalds in California for $20 or ¥3140 an hour?
I just came across your video just now. I am an old Alumni from UNT and graduated back in the 90s. My experience and education at UNT has afforded me opportunities that have led to global responsibilities across Europe, Middle East, Asia, and South America. Currently, I am a global head with plants in Europe and America. Best of luck in your endeavors.

The method doesn’t seem so fun so I think I’ll skip it for something else. I can see the appeal though. I like trying out new things. This weeks new idea is sentence of the day. I’m picking a sentence out of my grammar book (I need better grammar skills) and using that. I’m studying Korean.
Jet program was the best three years of my life. Worked as an ALT, mainly in junior high schools in Ibaraki. Yes it was challenging but the experience was worth it.
Thanks for the message! I'm really wanting to release another one soon. I'm working on some content rn but It's not POJ. I'll be making all 47 though, don't worry 😊
I'll leave a complete random comment 2 years after this video was made just to say you have helped me so much with presentations, you wouldn't believe. As a foreigner student in Japan I've found myself needing the help from these series way more often then I'd wish. Because I fucking hate creating slides, doing presentations and searching about stuff online. You have my eternal gratitude.
