Personally I love normal, four-legged animal characters and think they don't get enough representation considering like, literally man's best friend. Those tend to be my favorite Pokemon too. So I'd like to see Arcanine, Lycanroc, or the Eeveelutions added in (my favorite's Espeon) I think a lot of people think about the Eeveelutions and want them all together, but for pokemon like that I actually like the idea of them being separate. Instead of having a 7v1 fight. I don't like duo characters unless they're really paired together in some important way, like Rosalina & Luma, the Duck Hunt duo, Dugtrio, stuff like that
The game recently did a form-change fighter in Tyrogue, so doing something where Eevee gets to evolve into a few of its evos could be possible, and it'd be so cool!
The Tropius fix is alright, I think it needs a slightly better move pool WHICH DOES get in Scarlet and Violet just not anything else aside from Harvest which was useful during Sun and Moon for farming SOS battles. Carnivine... there is a much simpler fix than creating an entirely different ability for it and the stats are a bit ridiculous considering what it learns mostly physical oriented moves. The ability Gluttony would better fit thematically but my personal suggestion would be to have it with Heat Proof since they know how to resist a fire as mentioned in the video. But those stat changes are ridiculous. I can see it being a bit slower as to better navigate trick rooms but I feel like this video didn't take into account move sets very much. To nerf Slaking like that... I don't think it needs much of a fix to begin with. Volbeat and Illumise... A simple fix for Illuminate would be to behave like Compound Eyes boosting accuracy and ignoring evasion changes. Also giving it to Illumise makes no sense since it doesn't have a glowing part like Volbeat. Giving Volbeat Flash fire wouldn't make much sense either since its light doesn't come from fire, the reason Rolycoly gets it is because IT IS LITERALLY COAL which gets stronger when exposed to fire. This is a dumb change as is the moveset changes. These are companion Pokémon much like Plusle and Minun and there already have been changes to it that made it slightly better. They both had their defense boosted to match for consistency and a better move pool by the time of gen 6. I feel like you ignore a lot of what happens later especially with ORAS being a point in reference for most of these Pokémon getting an update in either stats or move pool variety. Luvdisc exists much in the same way Spinda, a unique element that expands lore in its case, Luvdisc suggests you find love and remember your moves with its heart scale. I'm sure there's more but I feel like some of these changes are a bit extreme and unnecessary.
*"I feel like you ignore a lot of what happens later especially with ORAS"* Yeah, that's the entire point of this series. I tried to make that pretty clear in the multiple Fixing Hoenn videos I've made so far.
@@GohLow Even so, fixing bug types in gen 3 is too difficult of a task considering they have very few moves distributed than gen 1 and 2. If it is not the stats of the Pokemon that's the issue, it would have to be the move pool. A wise reference to make would probably be some of the solo challenges done here on YT. There's many of them and growing by the year.
I got the ick from the non fighting type suggestions and mods (even worse if they dont learn CLOSE COMBAT) but thats the beauty. Great Tusk should give me the ick. A non-humanoid fighter? Eww? But naw its SICK. Rock with the suggests. Personally i think Zoroark Hisuian would be cool or Mega Lucario?
The fact Gorachu isn’t a past paradox is such a huge miss that it makes me think they’re just bitter and vindictive about the leak and we’re never getting any cut Pokémon ever which is sad .
Cuts Armaldo's Sp. Atk stat... Proceeds to then give it Signal Beam. XD (Jokes aside... DON'T raise Armadlo's BST to be the same as _Aggron._ Aggron is a third-stage evolution, while Armaldo is only a two-stage fossil Pokemon. ALL the two-stage fossil Pokemon have 495 BST. Changing it would make it not only inconsistent with the other fossil Pokemon, but also make it inconsistent with its counterpart Cradily).
Bruh why are you giving Banette an attack stat rivaling that of Psuedo Legendaries like Metagross and Salamence? Not only that but you're comparing it to _Gengar._ Its a two-stage evolution, not a three-stage trade evolution like Gengar. Its stats don't need to be THAT high... Just boost its speed and call it a day. :/
Illumise CAN'T have Illuminate... You realize the reason Volbeat has that is because they're fireflies, right? Illumise doesn't _have_ a bioluminescent abdomen. Only Volbeat does, specifically for the purpose of attracting a mate.
Volbeat and Illumise NEED evolutions... Have them only able to evolve if you have both of them in your party. Their Pokedex entries talk about how their main goal is to find a partner, so having them evolve and become more powerful when they finally do that only makes sense (plus, they already look like pre-evolutions).
5:41 Well that's a bit selfish. That's like waving a rare collectible in people's faces that not everyone can have. Gorochu was meant to be a Pokemon just like everyone else in the roster.
How is it selfish? I'm not getting to use it, nobody's getting to use it. It's not a rare collectible because it's not collectable at all. If Gorochu was meant to be a pokemon just like everyone else, THE GAME'S DEV WOULD HAVE MADE IT THAT WAY...
I don’t play fighting games outside of Smash, but I was able to beat Gorochu with Blaziken after 3 hours from downloading the game. Very hard fight nonetheless, but I figured out the proper timing to hit him mid attacks and how to stay at a safe distance. Again all that said, him alone took me like an hour.
The only problem with the modded pokemon that were mentioned is they are fighting type. Keeping true to the design of the creator all pokemon have had fighting type
Yeah been following it. The footage is hit-and-miss imo too. With the release date only being less than a month away, I'd expect more footage but there's not nearly enough with the date being so close.
Also y'all sleeping on rivals of Aether steam workshop it is incredible 20+ pokemon fighting game.. wait a second best pokemon fighting fan game of the year ok but roa is it of the past decade and more then just pokemon
I wish Lucario was in the game the most since its my favorite Pokemon. All starters with a fighting type should also be in and aside from having a fighting type, Ceruledge, Grimmsnarl and Toxtricity.
Gorochu: the Thunder Jinn Pokemon Electric/Dark Type “Ancient murals depict it roaming the land with a troupe of Pikachu and Raichu. Wherever it would go, storms were said to follow…”
Gorochu should’ve been a Paradox Pokemon. Heck a mythical would be great too. The lore of a Pikachu/Raichu that transformed into a thunder deity. Nothing confirmed like a legendary. Just vague lore like Pecharunt.
The Kanto Expansion Pak hack that adds in all the removed pokemon from the beta caused me to have a fascination for this thing. Yellow version was one of my first video games, period, and I wish this Pokemon was real.
@@GohLow They just released one of the final patches for it, and the trailer is here on RU-vid. It’s probably one of the best ways to re-experience gen 1.
I really wish this game would be available for cellphones in the future. In the meanwhile, this is my wishlist: • Kanto: Machamp. • Johto: / • Hoenn: Hariyama. • Sinnoh: Infernape. • Unova: Conkeldurr and Throh-Sawk (as a dual fighter). • Kalos: Hawlucha and Mega-Lopunny. • Alola: Passimian and Pheromosa. • Galar: Grapploct, Sirfetch'd and Zamazenta. • Hisui: Hisuian Decidueye and Hisuian Lilligant. • Paldea: Pawmot, Flamigo, Paldean Tauros (can change into blaze and aqua breeds), Annhilape (and extra form of Primeape, once it is defeated with a rage bar charged) and Iron Valiant. • Not-fighting type mentions: Pinsir, Ledian, Staraptor, Electivire, Incineroar and Lokix.
these are interesting changes but i don't agree with yr take on slaking. i think it's well designed specifically to be an interesting boss for the norman fight
That's a good point. A non-truant version of Slaking would make that battle awful. Maybe the play is to just give it Oblivious as a second ability, letting the Norman fight keep Truant to balance it.
since the game started in a prior state as CAPfight, it'd be fun to see one of the Smogon CAP fighting-type Pokemon added as an easter egg I vouch for Kerfluffle
*Long Comment below♪* I personally find it a bit appalling that there had to be a conversation to see if Lucario/Mega Lucario and (Mega) Lopunny would make the cut or not at the risk of "making the game too furry", because not only did Lucario already proved to be an utterly amazing character to play with twice over - he's quite fun in Smash Bros, and loads of fun in Pokkén - Mega Lopunny has been redesigned several times by fanartists into this athletic gymnast star with a tricky, coverage and support-oriented moveset to complement its massive boost in speed and power. It would pretty much be the only fighting type with an arsenal of magical powers you could base around Thunder Wave, Mirror Coat, Teeter Dance, or even things like Cosmic Power to lean into a moon rabbit connection rather than the playboy bunny one. If I was asked to make a suggestion, I think I'd base it around a moveset of High Jump Kick (high-risk/high reward combos), Triple Axel (combo-able with High Jump Kick), Mirror Coat (Defense against projectiles, but you still take damage from them), and Thunder Wave. Although if we go the 8-moves Pokkén route, I'd round this up with Drain Punch, Cosmic Power (temporary buff), Bounce, and Last Resort (That one would be a super hard finishing move to use, since you'd have to use every other one before gaining access to it). In terms of design, I'd go for a vibe similar to Tysontan's Mega Lopunny design (literally just type Tysontan Mega Lopunny on google, since sharing the link could get this comment deleted) to provide a confident, stylish battle stance. Mega Lopunny is supposed to have shed all its excess fur to focus _solely_ on its fighting impulse, so, that could translate into a bit of a battle-maniac in animation. Kind of like Street Fighter's Makoto. But yeah, I think what bugs me the most is that on top of these two Fighting Types being great in terms of gameplay, there's very little reason to fear a game based around Pokémon to be too furry, because... Well... It's already Pokémon? XD I mean I do agree that these two 'mons are often sexualized on the internet (I'm aware this is an understatement), but if +18 artists want to make adult art, they'll find pretty much _anything_ that fits the bill. I feel the same about Gallade, I might add: I really hope he makes it in. A Fighting Type with natural blades would be amazing to watch. Maybe Iron Valiant would work better? I'd be down for Iron Valiant, for sure!
