So the timing belt snapped. I rebuilt it. Used it for another few months and then a mate from school who'd always wanted a Legacy bought it from me. He still has it!
Loving the vids! I have a question are you still loving your JCW I am hopefully picking one up next week. I am in the same sort of boat I have had m140i/ audi s3/ golf R but they all just felt bit bland to me. All been auto I have opted to go back to a manual as well to be more engaging. Mine is literally the same spec as yours apart from the pan roof 🤦♂️ all good though my other car has one 😂
I’m looking to do similar, but I fear that the stripes have been in place too long on the bonnet. I just brought a ten year old, and to add to that, it’s red. How old was your car when you pulled the stripes?
Now in 2024 I'm weighing up whether to go for an M240i or an LCI OG M2. I had an M135i for a few years so I refuse to get a car with less equipment than that had (pro nav, HK, reverse camera etc) which actually makes the right M240i really hard to find! The actual price difference now is £5k-£7k but the M2 has most of the equipment I want as standard, wouldn't need handling mods and has THOSE looks. The sensible part of my brain says the M240i, it's good enough and a lot more economical...yet I still find myself browsing the M2s on Autotrader every day...
Loved the video mate. So many of the old cars I remember as a kid, and several that were released when I was working at Toyota way back in the early eighties. Cheers 🍻 👍
Bro you have one of the cleanest kei trucks I’ve seen. Unfortunately where I live in the USA in the state of Georgia I can’t drive one of these on the road.
Sorry, just random end up on your video today, nice content but it makes me laugh the way you talk and value some nice cars when you have a look shit mini open van, yeah call that a “truck” is hilarious! 🤣😂
My son sent me a picture of one he saw today, in Texas. He talked to the owner and they really liked it saying it had a 10 gallon tank, and got about 50 miles to the gallon. He is thinking about trying to get one for himself. I saw where Georgia says that they do not meet U.S. safety standards, and will not allow them to be registered for use in their State, so the people that have them are not allowed to drive them. Owners are trying to get lawyers, and get a ruling in the courts. I remember when Volkswagon beetles use to get pushed around on the roads when meeting or being passed by big trucks and wonder if these would have the same problem.
it is great to see the youtube car community and overall car community have a great show with some really amazing vehicles . excellent videos it is really well done , edited and paced right to always keep the interest up i have been trying to get a Sera imported up here to Alaska for years, i have a suzuki every kei van but im looking to get a 4wd Kei truck or a honda stepwgn brought up some day
I drove an SJ410 across France and Spain in the 90s. It was a brutal journey. Absolutely loved that thing. We thrashed it and it never missed a beat. I looked it up on mot checker and it was Sorn in 2022! Can’t believe it was running all this time. B42 DEP I miss you.
Just discovered your channel. Definitely need a look around! Cracking video, I had several "moments" watching the older cars - the Sd1 and Rover 200 Coupe... Mmmmm!
