Thanks for the feedback, I’ve seen a few where they must have an additional mic and they use the audio from that to overlay over the drone footage, will try and give that a go soon!
😂😂 it was a strange looking building, it was built in the late sixties/early seventies as a noise testing facility, it was an extremely tough building though designed to withstand explosions from the jet engines they were testing inside 👍
Thanks Alan love that comment! We certainly do make them go BYE haha, appreciate the support mate got a big job starting soon which is going to have some big kit and lots of it so watch this space!
@@SAMScaffolding definitely keep watching pal awesome bits of kit and ya lads should (and probably are) proud to drive them 👍 keep the videos 📹 rolling
Still a “high reach” although not as big as some others. I think it’s a good contender in the 50 tonne category it’s built in house, no after market conversion through kocurek or similar company.
Will there be more videos of the demolition of the mall area itself when the time comes as it would be very interesting to see? Very sad to see it go though.. Mismanagement and economy was its demise. I remember the big pet shop after it was built in the early 90's. It was in one of the larger units where JJB was. Mark One was by the escalators. Great memories and it was so busy then.
Yes there will definitely be more to follow! I will try and get a quick update on the link bridge this week but I will definitely cover the demolition of the shopping centre and try and document it similar to this video. Everybody has very fond memories of the place it’s been great to read all the comments about it, would of loved to see it busy back in it’s day!
I'm old enough to remember when The Galleries was still part of the Wellington Shopping Centre, when the post office was on the ground floor and there was this big store that sold all sorts of things just up the escalator in the corner if memory serves. It's kind of bittersweet to see it finally go after so long laying empty, but... I think this is for the best.
Great memories! Its such a shame that it sat for so long, it was a nice little shopping centre, although a little dated for todays standards! I imagine what comes next will be a big part of Aldershot’s regeneration project and will be used for years and years to come!
We expect the bridge removal to last another 2-3 weeks, the scaffold will stay in place slightly longer while they install a new glass facade above Lidl.
@@TheUrbexTheory Every man and he’s dog done pyestock from when the site closed to the demolition then this building. better gone then seeing 30,0000 more photos of the same thing lol
@@urban_fox_cub_urbex unfortunately no I believe it was brown and mason that did the original site wide demolition. Have seen the structures in the ground from a few of the former cells they were built tough 👍
@@SAMScaffolding Yeah was a good site. They had a few old jet engines left in a few of the cells. I’m actually looking at filming some demolition stuff with my drones give me an email if you have anything coming up that i could film
