This only works if you live in a major city like Edmonton or Calgary. FUCK this country, may it go to hell. Time to move to the states where we don't get royally screwed over
About to paint my suzuki mini truck. Done the underside of the bed for practice with the shutz gun it looked good but not what i was looking for. This video makes me think i can get the rest of the truck like i want.
Remember buying a custom built PC from California for $1,100 several years ago, it was shipped to Toronto Canada, and I was charged nearly $300 in brokerage fees to get my package.
I'm trying this I just spent like 400$ on moissanite and silver earrings and necklace and UPS wanted 120$ brokerage charge on top plus the gst had no idea about it had to pay i figured yea gst and maybe like 20$ delivery charge, but i am ordering some more soon and 100% will be clearing myself airport is 30 min drive from my house, wish this particular shop used USPS.
This is very helpful but I know I may be stuck at figuring out who to email at UPS because I simply can’t locate my account number they want me to include in the form… can you PLEASE share which UPS email you sent the B14 to?
I tried to do this today, and it seems they are changing the rules to make this harder for us. I've self cleared many packages using this method, and I can confirm it worked....until today. - The local CBSA office told me this needs to be done at the office location listed on the UPS manifest since they are not able to inspect the package (I talked to 2 agents and 2 supervisors, and showed them the paperwork for the previous package I self cleared) - I went to the CBSA office specified on the manifest (1.5hrs drive) and they took the paperwork and said they will call back once it's processed (since they also don't have the package on hand). I talked to 1 agent and 1 supervisor. -Once I get the call, I will have to drive back there to pay for it as they do not take payments online or over the phone. None of this is mentioned on their website, but they all told me this is their current internal process so something is probably changing. (www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/import/courier/lvs-efv/prsn-eng.html)
hi, Thanks for the info. Have you faced with the situation when you returned VAT tax for EU import items? i assume we pay twice when we import personal purchases from EU. Grateful for any info you can provide on that. thanks!
The hardest part of self clearing is ever getting in contact with anyone who's actually willing to give you the friggin paperwork to do it! UPS have insane, fake fees, but to their credit they have been more willing to actually send me the b15 form. Canada Post, while maybe having the lowest "fees" play stupid at every single level and it's like pulling teeth talking to them. Same with FedEx.
Do I have to pay as the sender? It says this on the tracking page “UPS initiated contact with the sender to obtain clearance information. Once received, UPS will submit for clearance.”
Duty is not 6%, its based on thr commodity your are importing and the country of origin. Adult Clothes for example can be upto 18% whereas childrens clothes are duty free. Also the duty amount is added yo the declared value and then provincial sales tax is applied.
Am from uk here, i rang the customs department to get some info abt how i can pay the charges myself, he replied by saying this isnt even possible and that i was completely making up the idea in my gead 😐
Is anyone familiar with valuing imports for US customs in situations where there's no immediate point of sale, such as restocking FBA in the USA from your own warehouse located outside the USA?
People don't know because people don't use other websites besides eBay or Amazon kind of like me. So of course, people wouldn't know. I'm duty and import tax and stuff like that. Because every day we are not ordering from out of the country like temu
I have Canadians bought my products and I'm tempting to just declare it lower than $20 and as gift to help out the parcel receiving process. Should I? Real value is around CAD 27-81. The type of postage I use - Australia Post should get handled by Canadian post but I see they still charge you CAD 10 for brokerage fees.
Most marketplace now should charge import fees - Australian order things from overseas, if it's less than $1k it will just charge 10% on the purchase on either eBay/Amazon. This way anything less than $1000 will just pass through custom without checking and directly to customer. Canada should do the same. Europe does the same already but sometimes hiccups does happen.
Man can you draw it out on a paper. To show the diagram. I’m on the same boat with a 1985 c10 with stacked lights. Converted them to Led with turn signal/drl option. My low beams are super low and if I turn on high beam they are bright On all 4 lights.
Thank you so much! I have to replace my battery on my vehicle and my husband is like you gotta take it to a shop. I don't have the extra funds to have a mechanic do it. Thank goodness for RU-vid. I've learned so much on here. How to build things, fix things, etc. This video is a life saver and my wallet thanks you! 🫶🏾🫂💕🥰😘
I ordered $900 worth of gym equipment from overseas and one of the items is liquid chalk and apparently had alcohol which I didn’t know about then ups proceeded to hold all of my items for 3weeks till they got documents from the business I bought it from after all that got sorted the finally came for my package to get delivered next thing you know they didn’t want to give my package because there’s a $730 import fees due which i don’t want to pay idk what to do now
Thanks for the suggestion. Do you mean identifying all the different parts that make up the front end of a vehicle? Tie rods, ball joints, etc? Or more of the exhaust and drivetrain? Or more of the brake and wheel hubs?
I paid $51 USD to ship $120 USD paper manual by UPS-USA with the "International Worldwide Expedited" and it said "These services include the Brokerage Fee in the label cost". My understanding is I paid the brokerage with that $51 USD, so I'll just need to pay the customs fee when it arrives. So it arrived and UPS charged me $44 CDN and their invoice/paperwork shows $21 CDN for customs, But the rest is outright thief as a fake "C.O.D. brokerage fees" charge. And UPS-Canada does Not want to discuss how they just robbed me and won't refund the brokerage I already paid to UPS-USA. This is the 5th time UPS-Canada tried to double-bill but I wasn't home to refuse the package.
What gets me the most is when drivers think their headlights are on cause they see a blue headlight icon on their dash and can see everything clear as day. Meanwhile they are blinding everyone on the road.
@@ItsStuderI'm glad your educating them. Hope it helps someone out there cause, I have turned on my hazards, flashed my high beams and nothing seems to work to get them to turn off their high beams.
