another approach is saying sin(4k-22)=cos(6k-13) remember cosx = sqrt(1-sin^2(x)) so sin(4k-22)=sqrt(1-sin^2(6k-13)) then 2 both sides so sin^2(4k-22)=1-sin^2(6k-13) add sin^2(6k-13) to both sides and then sin^2(4k-22)+sin^2(6k-13)=1 and the squares of sines and cosines only add up to 1 when the angles add up to equal 90 so we have 4k-22+(6k-13)=90 10k-35=90 10k=125 k=12.5

Sebrson sorry for interrupting but may I ask about how did we consider π/2 into 11π/2 shouldnt we use coterminal angles by adding 2π (360°) to π/2 and when I kept adding I didnt get any of the choices while when I tried a different method by adding π/2 (90°) continuesly but I arrived with answers A B C. Please help me my brain isn't braining right now. I understood all the parts except the part of 11π/2 = π/2

Jesus only , Jesus, Jesus only satisfies, take it form a person who did not want any part of Christianity until I was at least 80. I thought Church was a place where people got serious with God when they were only old. Young people need Jesus even more. My heart is burning for Jesus now, I want nothing else but Jesus, take the leap of Faith now, it is a dec you will NEVER REGRET!! Jesus loves you and died on the Cross for your sins, to save you from death, eternal death, which is not pretty, believe me. @JesusImage is the best place to go to Church if you really want to get saved.

@@Robin-Dabank696Reason why it's not B is the misconception that x starts at the first hour, as compared to the third. By subtracting 220 from 400, you'll get 180, which is the total cost for hours 3 to 5. This the hourly rate is hence 180/3=60. However this hourly rate is applicable only to (x-2) hours, as the first two hours evidently have a different rate. Thus, if you plug (x-2) into the equation, you'll get 60(x-2)+220, which is 60x + 100, A. Getting B is a result of not realising that the $60 rate only starts on the third hour, hence you'd calculate 60(x)+220 instead. (I can't ping OP but hope he gets the message too)
