I can see it now, the dial looks silvery-grey-champagny so makes it slightly difficult to read the time. One would wonder why not get a steeldive auto gmt for a similar price if not just for a quartz piece in the collection
NOT HAQ. Accuracy is +/-5 spM. No where near HAQ (+/-10 spY.) From Bulova NP200 Movement instructions: "Exclusive Three Prong Torsional Resonator gives accuracy within 5 seconds/month" Better than typical Quartz (+/- 15 spM)
FWIW, the NH 35 can be serviced. It just costs too much. However, if done, they can be substantially improved. It seems the Seiko skimps on lubrication and adjustment on the NH 35s so as not to give their more expensive movements too much competition.
That’s a hell of a deal for a great looking watch. I do agree that the Jubilee Style is a little too blingy for this watch. With that said, I got the Jubilee Style for my white dial Ascent, and I plan on wearing as my “dress” watch. Thanks for the great review.
the watch looks great outside in the sun, but it has too much reflections (hi gloss bezel,glass)...so in rooms I see almost nothing of the beauty...it's faceless and dark
I like that the Jubilee bracelet has a proper narrow taper like a Seiko. Most SKX typed watches have only a slight taper on their Jubilee bracelets. I have only two Cadisen watches, and despite producing very safe and somewhat boring watches, for the price I think they're unmatched.
I've had this model in the blue and red design for about six months. My bezel action is still tight and does not have the back play that yours shows. My only gripe is that my watch runs fast. It picks up 5-10 seconds per day. I don't wear it every day so that isn't that big of deal for me.
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from amzwatch
Not a Marinemaster.... anything under 300m water resistant...and not high beat movement...is not a Marinemaster or "baby".....but is a beautiful watch ❤
A lovely Homage to a classic. I see a " copy" being one with an aftermarket seiko dial and sterile caseback. But i feel this is definitely a homage due to using their own name on the dial, caseback,watch clasp and crown.

To be honest the movement and precision in placement of the markers is a noticeable difference. Not nearly worth the price tho. Btw try the SD1957 if you like the Omega Seamaster.
The only thing still not quite right is the movement. The right subdial is a 24 hour dial that works with the watch’s actual time, and not part of the chrono complication, which makes it super redundant. To date, there isn’t a movement out there that replicates the chrono complication of the Speedy with the same subdial spacing. It’s a nice homage tho.
@Nudei-nc1cp It's more than just a quartz. This is Bulovas proprietary ultra high frequency movement with a sweeping seconds hand. It's the most advanced quartz technology this side of a Grand Seiko.
@@Nudel-nc1cp Well a Tag Heuer will cost you double, and it's movement is a basic off the shelf quartz ETA. For what it is, the UHF Bulova is great value
@@AndySmith4501 Well I don't really like Tag and cannot afford one either. I might pick this one up when it got on sale. I like Bulova and some of their designs for sure.
I have the Merlot Red version, I have a 63/4" wrist and got a really good fit, it's not lost a second in the 2 months I have had it, I got it 15% off and an extra year warranty so am very happy with my Jet Star

I have an Omega Seamaster, bought in 2001 for £1200. Look at the prices now. In 2020 I put it in for service and was offered a new Speedmaster for £4400. Look at the prices now. It's become ridiculous and frankly most of what you pay is advertising, franchise costs, celebrity endorsements and sponsorship. I've just bought this Pagani. It's a bargain. Imagine if they started to make them with a quality mechanical movement, hesalite.... it'd still be under £200.
Hey mate, 50 metres water resistant for $659! What a joke. I love the Bulova Sea King which has the same high beat movement for half the price. My Bulova Sea King has a screw down crown and 200 metres of water resistance. I bought it a year ago swapped out the rubber strap for a sail cloth rubber one and it is my best watch. So sadly until they make this one decently water resistant I wont be buying it. Good review though.
The archive watches generally use the same style case back as the original watches they are based on so you don't get the higher water resistance of a newer style screw down case back with gasket. It's a trade off.
Non watch people I own 52 watches.. I have 3 Bullova watches and my point is an expensive price for the same movement as in my Sea King which cost way less with better specs. @@davidb9531
The turn of the 70s is evoked nicely by the angular case and the cool breeze block style of the bracelet. The red, white and blue exploitation of the US flag went into overdrive running up to the Bicentennial. Way too much here as well, so unless it is offered with a neutral colorway less the colors, I will pass.
I've got the bronze heimdallr mm300 and the coffee dial mm300 from proxima with the pt5000 and I'm genuinely considering getting this 😂 I'm a lost cause
