In todays video, we are taking a look at some pre-production models from Erebus Watches - the micro-brand founder by Jody @JustOneMoreWatch & his business partner Stevie Parker.
This is their second release and is a GADA (Go Anywhere, Do Anything) watch. With 12 models to choose from, 24 if you count the bracelet options, you are sure to find a version that takes your fancy!
JOMW kindly lent me the three models to take a look at, the Aventurine dial (my favourite), the black enamel and also the Blue Helix....all of the models have their own personalities & could almost be regarded as completely different watches...they certainly wear like that anyway!
At 39mm, this watch will fit most wrists & the superlative case finishing evokes hints of Grand Seiko, whilst the hands & indices have an Omega Aqua Terra feel to them.
Inside the case we have a Miyota 9015 which breaks from the mould of using the Seiko NH35A, it's a higher rate as well with 28,800 beats per hour.
Last but not least, the watch has 100m water resistance & is backe with a two-year warranty!
All in all, this new release from the lads shows just how good a sub $500 watch can be & certainly puts some of the more well-known luxury brands to shame. Great work chaps...I can't wait to see what Erebus watches brings next!
NOTE - I haven't been incentivised in any way to give a positive review...I genuinely think the watch is a smash hit! Especially that Aventurine dial!
