Thank you for taking the time to make this great video . I know it’s 4 years later now but you saved me a lot of time winters coming and I’m not a commentator on RU-vid. I felt like you needed to know. I appreciate your help
Hi . Can you help me out please? KQ300. Very hard to start. Pops and bangs. Bogs down. New carb. Valves adjusted. New plug. Am I missing something?👃 Love your videos. Keep up the good work.
I bought one for cheap too. Turns out the engine is seized and I haven't figured out why yet. My thoughts are the magnets in the flywheel came loose or the piston seized in the cylinder? I think I will check the flywheel first.
Hey, Yes you are 100% correct on checking the flywheel first. Have you pulled the spark plug and looked at it? If seized it should have metal/ rust on it. Fingers crossed just the starter clutch shredded or something and the shrapnel ended up seizing it.
I see you are dealing in funny money as well 😂 I'd pay 500 for the thing. Mainly for the rear plastics even ( mine are snapped in half). And parts are expensive for the darn things. It's probably a carb issue. Or just sitting issue. Hopefully. And if that doesn't scare you, I'd say good deal for sure.
What's the difference between a Quad Runner and a King Quad? I thought all the 300's were King Quads. Love.your videos and I'm excited to see what you have in store for this one! You helped me save my grandpa's 97 KQ that I grew up riding as a kid.
Tyler I’m so glad I could help you get your grandpa’s going. Make’s my day. The 300 KQ and Quadrunner were essentially the same. However I believe the Quadrunner’s had U joint’s on the back shafts and the King Quad’s did not. Don’t quote me on that. However after owning 2 KQ’s this will be one way to find out.
@@SteveTheCanadian Thank’s Steve. Tried to lock in the deal tonight. They are missing the key unfortunately. Yes 300 quadrunner was an only Canadian issue. Kind of cool.
I have been watching your videos like crazy: you are definitely the go to go for these quads. I have an Arctic cat 300, same engine as the king quad. I’ve done everything I can think of. It has great compression, did a leak down test, no leaking at top dead center, lots of spark, timed it just as the manual explained. It won’t start? It farted a couple times but that’s it. Help!!!!
Hey man I know this is an old video of yours I just picked up my first atv it’s a 02 Suzuki king quad 300 , just wondering what is the exact oil you us in your ? I see your from Ontario to so I was curious
It's got the 5 bolt rear so it should be a 300. Could still be a quadrunner or king quad. Both were made in Canada with the 300 from what iv found. Currently building an airbagged 3 wheeler built out of a quadrunner . Would love to see another person bring one back to life!. Parts are expensive though. So hopefully its as complete as it looks
I have an older 5.7. Not sure if it has those plugs. Is there a benefit for either running a 5 gallon tank of antifreeze through the sterndrive or dumping it into the heater hoses. Ive seen both ways done. Of course I like the easy approach to doing it. Figure I would get your opinion on it?
