This was a great video. Ballistol is the best. I use it on everything. Power tools, hand tools, knives, firearms… it’s an incredible product and I like that it is skin safe

Next time you'll take the pressure off when you got your old digging pole on it you got no business with that chainsaw you're going to hurt yourself or hurt somebody I ain't watching your videos no more good luck buddy

What digging pole? I only own a manual one that I don't use here. Do you mean the wench? This wench cannot even keep the pressure on by design -> Cluch means it will release -> no pressure. So I don't know what you mean. Not saying I could not improve, but I think you missunderstand whats happening, or I do not understand the comment. Cheers.

I have a pair of Swans M240.. Same problem!! When i turn on the speakers.. Buzzing sound for about 25 seconds.. Then it is gone!! Excessive transformator rattle??? The speakers sound amazing!! But it is annoying when it buzzing like crazy for 25 seconds!! Thanks for the video!!!
@theodorvongobbton2787
@theodorvongobbton2787 2 года назад
Great, I am glad this actually helped somebody! :) It was the same for me, when they got warm enough the tranformator stopped rattling, because the plates expanded enough from the heat. Overall I am happy with the speakers, especially for the price compared to a passive system. Could you fix it yet?

Hi Theodor. Very good video. Your humility and self-deprecating sense of humor is much appreciated. I'm glad you included the "slow parts" because I am a beginner too. I am 67 and just purchased my first mini-excavator to use around the property. It is a 1.5k with a Yanmar diesel engine... and I am just where you were at the start of this video... moving very slowly! I have used my JD 4110 tractor for a couple of years, but this mini-ex is quite different to drive and operate. I have subscribed and will be following in your footsteps. Keep up with your videos!

@theodorvongobbton2787

It's a Porsche licence build produced by Hofherr Schrantz in Austria in 1960. Model: Hofherr Schrantz Austro Junior. You are correct, it has 1 cylinder and produces either 14 or 16 HP (depending on who you ask, german and austrian papers disagree on that). There are 2 Versions for the Austro-Junior, I have the mountain version, which means center of gravity is lower and the wheelbase slightly longer.

23.5k€ with 3 buckets. I live in Austria, but bought the excavator in germany (I had it transported home for about 800€). I bought 1 more bucket (30cm used trenching bucket for 300€) since then and added an hydraulic thumb (1000€ material cost).

It would probably be a lot faster to break at loose with the bucket and then drag it out with the blade. Or Break loose a wide swath with the bucket and move back a foot and then rake that small wide pile toward you with the bucket without raising the boom very much, and move back a foot and keep moving that pile towards you and move back a foot etc etc till you're all the way out the door. The way you're going you will waste a lot of time turning all the way around in that tight space.
@theodorvongobbton2787
@theodorvongobbton2787 3 года назад
Yes. That was a bit of a mess. Not an ideal starting project. I am just happy I didn't break the barn.
@TF856
@TF856 3 года назад
Actually the blade position depends on what you're digging and how hard it is or how heavy you're lifting. Sometimes you need it in back and sometimes you need it in front. But what whatever you're doing you usually have to put down pressure on that blade to make it stable anyway. Some people tell you not to dig over the track Motors but that's baloney. They're designed for it. The track Motors get damaged mostly by gears going bad. Not by digging over them and putting too much weight on them.

If you speed it up just remember that some of us prefer to hear the equipment and not music. There are some video editing software that let you speed the audio up along with the video and keep it at the original pitch. I've seen a lot of videos like that in construction and in woodworking.
@theodorvongobbton2787
@theodorvongobbton2787 3 года назад
Thanks for the hint and feedback, interesting, I did not know that's even possible without the annoying high pitch audio. I will try this out next time.

If you own quite a bit of acreage some people find it beneficial to put a trailer hitch on the back fill blade and use a small trailer like the one you have for moving materials or supplies around their property. That way you don't have to drive two vehicles to do the job. The excavator for lifting or digging and the second vehicle pulling a trailer to haul what you want hauled in the process. There are videos of other people doing that on RU-vid listed under excavator with trailer. Cotton top has a video how he installed a hitch on his. Duckgirl pulls a trailer with her excavator all the time. Just get lots of practice with it.

Excellent video, thank you ! I am a new operator and looking at a VIO 50 also. Someone told me a good learning exercise is to place 2 objects in front of our machine at about 4 ft and 8 ft. Next, swing your arm and stick around each of these objects in a figure 8 keeping your bucket about 1 ft off the ground.
@theodorvongobbton2787
@theodorvongobbton2787 3 года назад
Interesting, thank you. I will try. I heard "raking" with the teeth over the ground (without digging in, just touching the ground) is a good exercise as well. I did not regret the VIO 50. Not that I have something to compare it to, but it works great and I had no major issues with it yet.

Theodor what do you think about the speakers now? Were they worth all the hassle of importing and fixing it? I am also considering buying these speakers. Would you recommend them? Luckily I can get them from Amazon with free shipping. I am also considering the Swans M5A which is the slightly bigger version of these with 3 inch mids and 8 inch subwoofer. Do you think the M3A has enough bass or perhaps the slightly larger M5A would be better for you?
@theodorvongobbton2787
@theodorvongobbton2787 3 года назад
I would recommend them. I think they are hard to beat for the price, even though Zeos overhyped them in my opinion (I think the ~25k€ System from my brother is better). I am happy I did not go for the M5A, because I have them too close to brick walls (I put socks in the rear ports and 15cm acoustic foam between them and the wall to deal with the issues at low frequencies). If you can afford to position them about 1m away from your brick and concrete walls + are willing to do some acoustic room treatment, than the M5A make sense too, especially if your room is big and you like it loud with plenty of low end. Please let me know what you decide and how it goes, I am interested.
