Love the video. I’m looking to get a gladiator but used. Don’t need a new one. I’m not going to be any rock crawling at my age. lol. But love the looks and ability to have four doors and bed. Had a yj many years ago but it just didn’t work with the wife and needing to carry stuff. This is perfect.

Why would you use red wine as an analogy when red wine is not stored in the fridge?

No thanks.... keep all of them. I want to boondock but I also want to go into New York City or San Diego, etc for a few weeks at a time and stealth camp. At the same time I demand reliability. My choice? A Toyota Hybrid Minivan. Remove all seats except the drivers seat. It can be had in all wheel drive and I will have it lifted 3" and with bigger and better tires. The other item on my agenda is a Springbar top of the line 10 x 14 ft canvas tent. With the hybrid minivan I can set the temperature to whatever I want. Even if I'm in the boondocks. You can't do that with a trailer unless you have a ton of solar but if you have all that solar, do it with the canvas tent. Now you not camping you are glamping. In colder temps set up the Springbar with a wood burning stove or go into the hybrid mini and set that temp for whatever you want. I will have flexibility with the weather and flexibility of choosing where I will go next. City or dessert or mountaintop or the beach. There's one other thing that will be on my list. I can set up the minivan for towing on the light side with a small 6 x 8 Runaway that will carry everything that will be needed for the tent and also it gives me access to RV campgrounds should that be my choice. When going into a town or city to stealth camp, I will park the Roadrunner with it's stuff at the nearest RV campground. Springbar canvas tents last forever. Toyotas last forever. Keep your RV''s.

“I don’t mean to be negative” 😂 we all run into problems with our RV, but it’s nice to know what to look out for. Thanks!

Only have a few complaints with this generation Tundra. First, I wish this truck had been designed to accomodate a flat interior floor (like an F-150). Additionally, I wish Toyota had given the option for the sliding rear window on the DoubleCab too, not just the CrewMax. Finally, the lack of rear air vents makes the back seats less accommodating for my back seat passengers

Bought my 2013 Tundra DoubleCab with 100k miles almost 2 years ago, put over 30k miles on it and I love it. I have the 4.6 2WD and it makes a perfect daily driver (except fuel econ). I love the simplicity, how quiet it is, the interior space (I am 6'5"), and the seats are the most comfortable I have ever sat in. 10/10 would buy again, only regret is not finding a 4WD model so that I could have more capability overall.

It would be interesting to see Ford endorse your statement that they knowingly underrate their payload capacities. Do you have factual data on this, or is this simply an opinion? I think it’s a bit dangerous to suggest that vehicle manufacturers are doing this, since once this becomes common knowledge, then some may opt to intentionally overload their vehicle. Each to their own, but we’ll always adhere to what the manufacturer states, especially since the world has become so litigious. With respect to RV dealers needing to take more responsibility about educating their customers, I 100% agree with that. We are currently dealing with a dealership, that when we asked them to help us calculate payload, did NOT include tongue weight, which in our case is closing in on 800lbs. When challenged on that, they simply said, Opps, we forgot to add that in. How does a business that sells nothing but trailers “forget” to add in tongue weight? I’ll tell you how, they knew our rated payload on our F150 was 1471lbs. They are more interested in making a sale, than telling the truth. We would walk away today from this dealership, however, they are the only Canadian dealer for a brand of trailer that we are interested in and as such, we are forced to deal with them if we want this particular brand. It’s beyond scary to see this kind of business practice being conducted- lives are at stake and lawsuits are life changing. Dealerships need to be more accountable and more honest about the fact that buying a trailer may come with the need to upgrade your tow vehicle and if that is something you can’t afford, then don’t buy the trailer. Putting profit over people is never a good idea. Apologies for the rant, but doing the right thing is rare these days and I find it beyond frustrating.

If a company spends what’s required to make a truly high-quality camper trailer, such as Airstream did with the Nest, nearly every comment is about how ridiculously overpriced it is compared to the “competition.”

It’s not just the way RV’s “ are “ . . It’s the way RV’s are NOW . . during post Covid and the “ Build Back Better “ administration that has decimated quality and skyrocketed prices . Damn shame

Got a '23 at a great discount and Iove it. It does suck gas, but that's the way it goes. Great for camping and hauling crap from Home Depot. Also, no windshield antenna. I think the '23 Gladiator Rubicon is one of the best Jeeps they've made

Just bought a new 2023 Suzuki King Quad 750. Putting all Warn plow equipment on it. Having a snow blower is all ducky but where I live, if we get a lot of snow and the plow comes by and we have a berm and a the blower REALLY struggles with that. Plus the streets curb and mailbox access needs to be cleared. It takes just too long to be out there with a snow blower.

I'm considering getting that new Can-Am Outlander Pro HD7 (new model for 2023) with a Boss 5'6" V-Plow (uses hydraulics, no need for winch). I'll have around 1,100 yards of dirt/gravel easement to plow. Will be located in Central Minnesota, so I might not have quite the amount of snowfall you have in the mountains, but we do get it frequently and we definitely get pretty cold. Artic weather gear with hand warmers should get me through. Nice video, thank you!

I’ll lament that power adjustable seats didn’t seem to be an option in ‘21 with the leather? My ‘21 Ruby is about fully loaded and it seems goofy that the leather seats are also not power. Also good options not mentioned (which I have) are: 1) $895 cargo management (trail rail, 115V bed outlet, locking underseat storage) 2) $350 tow package 3) $595 roll-up tonneau cover

I just got a lightly used ‘21 JT Ruby, with a couple more options than yours and opposite your roof/fender combo, for $39K, after having owned a JKU and JLU in the past 10 years. My JK was hydro blue as well and yours looks great, especially with the overlanding setup! Thanks for the review.
