Hey, I'm Tabletop Tyrant I'm here to share my passion about Warhammer. I've been a longtime fan since Warhammer Fantasy 6th edition, I dabble in a bit of all their games however my preference is the Horus Heresy, and WHFB. I look forward to seeing you on my videos and sharing the hype. If you want to catch me live drop by on my twitch, at tabletoptyrant.twitchtv.
Great video! I've found that Maxmini is an incredible source of Hobgoblins. They're one of the only places to find the entire range of Hobgoblin units, including Sneaky Gits. Sadly their studio paint job looks awful, but they're really nice in person.
Right I thought it was weird when I was on my phone and it wouldn’t pull up any of the stuff without searching for it 🤪 at first I was like oh it’s their goofy website. Then realized ohhh they probably don’t want any confusion between which games are speciality games vs their main games.
I was trying to figure out exactly why this thing seemed weird. I guess kitsch is a good word for it? Like, wanting to know this stuff is one thing, but buying something from walmart or whatever for someone to answer these focus group-created questions is another.
Hey welcome to the hobby first off! Right now chaos dwarves are no longer in production by games workshop. A lot of people have turned to 3d printing. If you want the original models you can find them on EBay but are very expensive. There is the added problem with eBay that you could buy counterfeit minis being passed off as authentic. If you want to look at some awesome chaos dwarf models go check out Lost Kingdom Miniatures they are 3d printable models, however alot of people have a License to print and sell his models. I really hope I was able to help you.
@@tabletoptyrant9573 They do have pros! Multi-part for real. Enough details to look good but not too many to make it annoying.. Normal troops don´t have to be detailed as characters.. the monopose now and over detailing is not necessarily better..
I think he used a shield in “Little Horus” story. I believe it was mentioned when he was having a little mental breakdown when he heard someone breathing before a Iron Hand completely shattered it in his moment of distraction. It's been a while so I need a fact check.
It feel like, based on how rules works, best CD lists will have orc&goblins... Maby thematic but not very dwarfy at all. Cheap, Ld10 blocks of hobgoblins, Black Orcs even with wyverened boss and an iron daemon or two.
Ya know I can see validity to it I’ve been expirenenting with bull centaurs and fieglaives and it’s working okay I think I will run some black orcs and a orc boss for sure. The iron demons are good but I love the dreadquake
@@tabletoptyrant9573 130ish points for 30 goblin archers with Ld 10... I still think tOW is not even close to being balanced (due to how basic rule structure works) so I will not get super excited about another broken combo. But it feels like dwarfs in CD are less valid than non-dwarf units.
@@michaciemniewski9791. I believe they need to flesh it out a bit more I’ve been following a dude who did a huge breakdown on line hammer and I though hmmmm crazy that can be done. TOW largest cardinal sin for me is the lack of named hero’s. You shouldn’t have to buy an arcane journal to get access to theme and flavor.
@@tabletoptyrant9573 I like tey do not have those. Unless You plan a campaign heores like this alaways are a balancing problem BUT I understand this is a narrative-based game not competetive game.
@@michaciemniewski9791 oh i totally agree with you on the balancing problem. It was a huge problem in 8th with named characters as well espically since some brought their own units to the table like Grimgor and Archaon. It would just be nice to see a bit of flavor in the books IMO.
Thanks for letting me know I made those a while ago and messed a couple things up. I’ll be revisiting these armies and correcting the oopsies! Thank you again!
@@rynbrtn right! I was lucky enough to keep a little community of 8th going while fantasy was dead and man I’m realizing just how much little things have changed to the point where even if I’m sure I need to check to be sure 😂 What armies do you play in old world?
@tabletoptyrant9573 Started with Beastmen, but that was too easy mode so I've dusted off my DE to try and make them work. I figure if I win a GT with DE then I will achieve legendary status lol.
@@tabletoptyrant9573 i know i mentioned this format of a video some time ago, but i really think it is needed, and you really made a great job. Now i can only hope that algorithm god will put it for people to see!
Thank you I felt like an idiot not know so I reread the liber chaotica and it’s a bit creepy with slaanesh 😆 I heard they actually borrowed stuff from real life cults when creating slaanesh and it shows
Nice video! Just as a note, Ensorcelled Weapons only applies to a single Hand Weapon carried by a model, so you don’t get the benefits of it on any other weapons, including if you’re using two hand weapons for the extra attack. I got started with the Warhorde of Eternus box, which was a pretty excellent starting point. I used the Theridons for some Dragon Ogre conversions. I’m going to my first event in a couple weeks and I’ll be running a couple units of Warriors, some Chaos Ogres, and then characters and single-model murder units like Dragon Ogres. They may be more expensive than the other lines due to using more modern minis but they look so good. And I find trimming down the cloaks on Chaos Warriors really helps make it a lot easier to rank them up! 30mm square bases give you a good amount of room to work with once you clip a couple of excessively dynamic folds of cloth away. EDIT: also Barding only adds +1 to saves now, so Chaos Knights are at a 3+ and Chosen Knights are at a 2+. Chosen Knights are well worth it, and really survivable if you give them the Blasted Standard, which lets them reroll armour saves of 1 against shooting
Hey thank you very much for this the éter is box looked like a pretty good steal! As far as the minis I have to agree with you they look beautiful on the 30s as well as dynamic! You’ll have to tell me how your chaos ogres do! Also also dang ensorcelled weapons!!! Thank you for that one for sure!
So my one critique and its something that like every video on pinning never talks about its how to align the pieces when pinning. I personally just cut a the paper clip short and sharp then press the two pieces together to make a indent in the other piece for a lead when drilling, remove the small cut paper clip and then fit a proper piece of paper clip to the two drilled pieces. Other wise a great video
1. Bob Smith Industries makes the best Super glue (CA glue) in several different consistencies. Their maxi-cure extra thick glue is all you need to fill assembly gaps on models. No green stuff required. 2. Scoring the metal surface (cutting multiple lines into the surface) greatly helps the glue bite into the metal. There are even scoring hobby blades designed so that the tip won't break as easily.
