This scene is so raw to me as a man. No tough guy act. No beating him up. No threats. Just him really feeling confused. He doesn’t know what to do. What’s happening. He feels scared like a boy and is hoping Steve Buscemi’s character helps him. The way he admits “I’m scared” just hit me deep. I feel this many times but we never say it. I’m going through a situation that has me feeling like that rn. A lot of fear and uncertainty And I thought of this scene

I’ve seen this scene so many times and the most unrealistic thing that still confuses me is the criminals unexplained reasons for gunning down over a dozen civilians for no reason, waiting ammunition on non combatants when they could be firing at the detectives.

This movie was less than it should have been, and far better than it’s given credit for. Frankly, it should have been billed as a limited series..and simply had 6-8 episodes…giving them 10-15% more time with characters and storytelling.
