The Portrait of God has got to be one of the scariest stuff I've seen, the way she has been there for 3 whole days just standing up and the smile at the end gave me goosebumps
This would’ve been a good full movie concept. A group starts photo shopping themselves for good pictures. A couple weeks later they start to get affected by the photo shop.
Hearing you talk through your creation process really explains why your films are so good tbh. You're realistic and good at compromising for the sake of time, pacing, resources, etc. But you can build off of what little you have very well! It never even occurred to me that the transition to the final shot was your plan B; it never felt awkward or out of place. All of your shortfilms have a distinct sense of care and thoroughness put into them. They're not just "good" as in "enjoyable;" they feel tight and fine-tuned. Beyond that, you clearly have a creative intuition for storytelling in this medium, which not everybody can have even if they have great technical skill. If any feature length project ever comes out with your name attached, I'll be there 👀
Brilliant. The monster showing him that death is the way out and he is thinking about it himself instead of thinking about fighting it , like stand up against your fear shows that he is punished for being " weak". He just wants to get away but what if running is not an option anymore? Great movie
I get to learn a lot from the making videos of your every short film, like editing, VFX and everything related to film making. Your every short film is unique.🙌
Fascinating (and now I'm curious about that deeper backstory of the Portrait). Found this via a post on the HPLHS FB page & it's darn impressive indeed! (that The Figure reminds me of Ramsey Campbell's "The Correspondence of Cameron Thaddeus Nash" is indeed a compliment)
