I love your voice. Do I need a special foil or deco foil paste? I am confused. Are you saying this foil works just with the heat of the pen and nothing else?
@itsthelittlethingsincardma7949
@itsthelittlethingsincardma7949 22 дня назад
@@MountainAirOrganicBeds Hi again...yes, transferring the foil is done with the pen and a bit of pressure. Please note the foil you need is Heat Transfer Foil. Toner foil will not work as toner foil needs some kind of adheasive to transfer. I hopes this helps with your confusion. Again, thank you for your comment.

I used the old AG purse. Then I used Gemini. Then I used sizzix big shot. Now I use AG Empress. No matter what I use, the dies will not cut through with the any of the double sided backing. They NEVER cut through no matter what I do. I like my dies & I have intricate dies. So I can't make anything better so I have to use wet glue. (I use the same double sided backing.) I use a lot of shims, so that I am white knuckled & it still doesn't work. Never cuts through the other side of the double sided materials. I have tried every one! Help please. Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
@itsthelittlethingsincardma7949
Hi Rhonda Kennedy...sorry you're struggling with die cutting. I know cutting through the backing of double sided tape can be challenging. I dont know whose tape you're using, or what dies you're trying to cut with, but some double sided tapes are thicker than others. I use Elizabeth Craft Design double sided tape because it's thin and strong. The basic sandwich would be in the Big Shot, the platform, the cut plate (or the metal adapter plate if the die is very intricate) a paper shim (at least 65lbs) , what you are trying to cut with the adhesive side down...with the release plastic still on, your die facing down, then the top plate. If you run it through and it still dosent cut add another shim between the die and the top plate for more pressure. Note: Never force the sandwich, just reduce the papers weight and try again. Also, after you run it through the first time, rotate your die 45 degrees and run it back through the machine. It should work, but again I don't know your paper, dies, adhesive or the plates you are using. Please let me know how you make out...I hope I helped.

I stopped your video to check that... oh, it was on the fucking video... Why couldn't you copy the image right onto the foil and eliminate the tissue altogether? It all looks too laborious to me....
@itsthelittlethingsincardma7949
@itsthelittlethingsincardma7949 2 года назад
Hi Natalie Greco. Thank you for commenting. You can stamp on the foil but remember, the foil is not secure on the surface. It is very thin and the pressure you use can make the foil snag or slip. This would result in spotty or skipped transfers. By using a tracing medium your pen doesn't snag or catch on the foil, plus stamping on tissue or tracing paper is easier and cleaner than stamping onto the foil. That being said, try it both ways to see what would be better for you.

@itsthelittlethingsincardma7949 2 года назад
Hi again Holly Dawson James! I'm sorry but I'm not very familiar with everything Deco Transfer Gel can do. What I do know is the gel does work with the deco foils since like toner it is an adheasive. The only difference is the toner needs to be heated (Minc or laminating machine) to activate the adheasive, while Deco transfer gel needs to get tacky before you apply the foil... not heating needed. I'm sorry I cannot be of more help.
