Why did you load it tail first? Keep the plane it is already pre- disaster-ed. In fact the airplane should be renamed "lucky!" The people are who are recommending you get another airplane or not fly that one again doesn't know squat about it.

When I was a little kid there was a lady with a small plane who made a living taking overhead photography of peoples home. In her one flight this exact thing happened 2 mins from where I lived, but we lived where there wasn’t a road that long and straight so her emergency landing was into trees. I got to witness it and our neighbor was first one to get to her. She didn’t survive and I’ve never forgotten her.
EVERY time I see a VW with the prop on the crankshaft pulley end and NOT on the flywheel end, I am completely baffled. WHY did this become the standard???? That end of the crank is meant for driving a fan/generator pulley and NOT for power delivery, let alone the gyroscopic loads from the prop.

I also had a crankshaft failure on my vicking dragonfly. My road landing took out my canard landing gear. Vision shake is very real. My next airplane was a RV4 O360 engine never let me down.
I work down in Carrollton pretty regularly and it was pretty neat to stumble on this video and hear a familiar place. I hope you stopped into the airport restaurant and got a piece of pie before you left!
