I've created some Fortinet videos for my students at DWWTC. I noticed there wasn't too much Fortinet material on RU-vid so I thought I'd upload them to share. I hope if anyone sees these, they help!
I also teach CompTIA and Microsoft classes too so I might upload some videos on those topics .
Please understand that I do not maintain this channel for any gain, so please don't get offended if I don't reply to comments or update often.
I don't know if you monitor this, but is it possible with Fortigate to construct a VPN that load balances with 2 WAN connections, but if one fails will spin up the 3rd WAN connection to take the place of the failed connection? My application is using 2 physical wired ISP paths, with a cellular path on the 3rd WAN. I like using the link monitors and for my application if that's the only way I can do a 3 way setup, I have no issue with that. For my site a few lost packets will not present a problem.
Hi Devin. is there a possibility that you share me the gns3 project file to make some tests on it. I have a problem with mpls over sdwan with bgp routing.. your project maybe could help me to emulate the network without a maintenance windows.. hoping it could be possible. thanks to you.. regards.
Hi Adams, your videos are always great. Have you tried introducing second hub in start topology? any plan on making a video on it like how it works, and what happens, what kind of redundancy it provides etc. I have tried looking for it on the internet but couldn't find a single video or tutorial anywhere.
Nice videos. I have a question I have FSSO and fortiproxy, but my users (not all) lo sé network conection I need to run flush DNS, restart or leave and enter to domain again the computers to have network conection again do you think is a DNS problem?
This video was critical to my studying because I needed a way to implement an IIS server so I could configure NAT for my CCNP course. Luckily I had a WS 2016 Datacenter license that wasn't being used and GNS3 allows you to import a VM into the topology so now I don't have to worry about a trial license expiring and losing access to my server. I'm using the GNS3 Firefox appliance to access the IIS server and it works great and uses hardly any resources compared to a Windows PC, plus it's open source so I don't have to worry about Windows licenses. Thanks for this video it was a game changer for me. When I'm not studying for my CCNP I'm going to go through your entire course. The amount of content combined with your teaching style - I would pay for this training. Amazing work. Thank you Devin.
Hi Devin, Is there any possibility to configure the Hub & Spoke for DC and DR method. Incase of the DC got failed, DR will take traffic failover from and to the spoke networks. Even theugh the VXLAN will get passed by the both network to identify the local network reachability.
I really like your sense of humor and the way you teach exploring all the required nitty gritty for the real world. Sending well wishes for you sir. I had a question though which is does the device db contains policies and objects from the firewalls if you are not using policy package and want to restore device config to a new device in case current one gets faulty?
Hey there, I have a question regarding VDOMs and VLANs. Is it possible to assign a VDOM with a VLAN interface to group all the VDOM's VLANs with one physical interface to a managed switch? Also, can we do the same with the WAN using one WAN physical port? Thanks! I hope my question is straightforward!
LOL that joke was good. I'm still in watching que your videos I do hope you're still active on the subject. :) even if not hope you're doing really good out there. RESPECT for your work!!
Thanks Devin, this helped me with GNS3. But, FortiManager v6.4.12 need another additional command to work in GNS3, config system global set enc-algorithm low end enjoy..
