Spit and Sawdust / Cardiff Skateboard Club are absolutely brilliant, our city should be proud of what we have here. It's also great to see just how much things have changed over the years when it comes to mental health. I had a lot of issues in the mid-90's due 100% to problems at home, but it lead to a culmination of issues - dropping out of university, being put on Prozac for over a year (then drinking on it), and just generally spiraling. I skated less, and at the time felt like a lot of the people I did skate with just didn't want to know. I don't blame them, it was a different time and we were all young. I eventually found my way through music; kept myself super busy making fanzines, running a record label and all manner of other DIY punk rock related stuff, and with reaching 50 this coming November I'm just glad I'm still around to actually enjoy life, and to see what an amazing job people like Christian at Spit and Sawdust are doing.

This is so so so important and makes such an impact to someone living daily for their kids I realise I’m not alone.. I will share this with my son who is struggling with grief and depression as an autistic young man and needs to see a man open up like this X 🙏
I coincidentally bought an aaron herrington polar deck (well i love polar just picked his board because of the design and wheel wells) anyway... I can totally relate to alot of this. Im ober a year sober from alcohol. Slowly trying to cut off weed now. Glad i got one of his decks.
Louie and t puds are my two favorite skaters. Louie seems like he can do anything. Switch, fakie, nollie, shuv tricks, kick ins and outs, cab tricks, tranny, crazy wallride tricks, etc. And hes unique and creative
