For the record,...a lot of us know Skynyrd to be racist, because of a response they gave Neil Young, after Neil came out with his song " Southern man." This is why most artist refuse to cover their songs If this is really you,...you just lost a potential customer!
February 2007 at age 42 , my older brother David went to heaven with my mom watching him take his last few breaths, he lived a troubled life but had made amends with everyone including God, about a year before , my mom said she saw a different David, we played shinedowns version of this song at his service in the mountains by a creek, as I listened on the way home tears started to fall, I could feel the cold and hear the creek running as the pastor and friends remembered him!!
