Hi, mate. Where are you getting your info from, such as waiting 3 minutes and dusting from 4 inches away? It's very specific and contradictory to the instructions given with the kit. From my understanding the dye is most accurate within a minute of applying it. The barium sulfate powder is just used to better indicate the colour change of the dye, as long as you aren't heaping it on it shouldn't matter how you apply it. So, for an accurate reading, apply the dye to the sample, dust with the powder and compare the colour change to the reference card within 60 seconds.

Hi Jacob! Thanks for the video! Could you do a video on ants? I do not have a raised garden trying to present more of a food Forest but have such a big problem with ants as I use cardboard and wood chips for weed suppression

Coffee, ash, sand … none of those have the slightest effect on the slugs in my garden. I don’t use the beer trap because the last thing I want to do is attract even more slugs. I let my neighbours use that method. 😂 So far, touch wood, I have had success after building a wall of brambles. One of my neighbours said it reminded him off the Normandy beaches in D-day. When I have time I am going to make some miniature woven bramble fences so I can use them every year.

It is! Torturous, 😂. I finally ended up getting some BEAUTIFUL starts on Etsy from a wonderful seller. Packaged extremely well with no soil loss and they have been happily transplanted. So far, so good. My biggest issue is overwatering so I’m being really conscious of that. 🤞

Hi Jacob, I have a few questions regarding your experience growing garlic. How frequently should I trim the garlic once transplanted? Did you notice if it affected the development of bulbs, or is it solely to ease the plant's stress? Lastly, when is it too early to trim garlic? I noticed that my garlic had grown quite a bit in the last week, and I wonder if trimming it now would hurt it. Thank you for your time and expertise!

NUTRIENT CONTENT OF POULTRY MANURE Poultry manure contains all 13 of the essential plant nutrients that are used by plants. These include nitrogen (N), phosphorous (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), sulfur (S), manganese (Mn), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), chlorine (Cl), boron (B), iron (Fe), and molybdenum (Mo). Plant nutrients originate from the feed, supplements, medications, and water consumed by the animals. Using poultry manure as a fertilizer for crops or trees may provide a portion, or all, of the plant requirements.

The Cocatoos get to mine and knock them to the ground before they're ready to harvest. Most still have the green fruit bit, but some half black. Can I still use these?

Hi Jacob, a very informative video. I have a mature tree in my garden in south west of WA. I am yet to get any walnuts from my tree as the red tailed black cockatoos always get them first. What is most upsetting is they just rip them from the tree and throw most onto the ground then they fly away. My tree is too big for me to net (I'm worried small birds will become tangled too) Do you have any advice please?
