Olive trees are dirty trees when grown in So.Fla., they shed and their leaves and olive buds stain concrete. I do not know if they are less dirty in the dry air in the desert.
Some parts of Palm Springs are... not that fancy... I know many people don't talk about it but people who live there they know how things are.. I hope this will change in next couple of years/decades, whole coachella valley is wonderful. If someone say oh you spent 200-300-500k for a building which doesn't worth even 5k .. well it's not about that building/house.. location is what it matters... Most of this 'cheap' houses ( for Palm Springs ) is kinda for demolition.. so be ready for that.. and one important thing.. well you never know which crackhead lived there before you.. so advice.. blow that thing and build new one. 🙂
A note on the vacant lots in that neighborhood: You HAVE to be careful to find out if the land you're interested in is unencumbered, or if it's owned by one of the tribes out there. The native land holdings can resemble a patchwork, so do your homework. Also consider how much time you'll want to spend with gale-force, sand-laden HIGH-temperature winds in a place where daytime temps from June through October are in the 90 - 120 degree range (July-September it will cool down into the 80's at night).
Hey, Monica, would you ride on any Amtrak Routes like Coast Starlight, California Zephyr, Southwest Chief, Sunset Limited, Texas Eagle, and Empire Builder there. You may enjoy on a long haul ride on a train.
As soon as i heard Ohio river I thought nope 😂 I grew up in little Ashland ky (meets Ohio and West Virginia on the Ohio river) and I can tell you those areas are rough. My dad is still in Huntington and he tells me crazy stuff that goes on. Tons of drugs.
Who TF wants to live in West Virginia!?!?! Y’all act like you’re highlighting a great find - there is a reason the houses are so cheap - not too much demand to live there. I can find beautiful, old houses that cheap just 30 minutes south of me…in Detroit. Girl bye.
theres an easier way of doing it, if you look at the reviews and it says 1,267 you look for the hotel in the same area with the same stars and you'll see exact same review numbers
It probably has zero industry. These tiny towns are a dime a dozen in the Northeast and Midwest. There was probably some single industry factory which employed the entire place for 50 years, until NAFTA took effect, and production was upended to Mexico.
